Most of Christmas Eve has been spent preparing for Christmas.
I did laundry, I swept, I mopped, I vacuumed (twice!). Now I’m baking several different batches of cookies (and three dozen batches of Christmas Whipped Shortbread Cookies, just for Dan), while Alyssa “helps” and eats whatever she can grab off of the counter and cooling racks when I’m not looking. :cute:
Anyway, I have to get back to baking, and once that is all wrapped up Dan and I are going to cuddle and watch some Christmas movies.
I’ll leave you with some photos…
And a message from Alyssa!

Merry Christmas Jenn. I hope you all have a wonderful one.
I baked some sugar cookies with the kids tonight as well. I’ll post mine soon. They don’t look as good as yours though. :hmm:
Jenn I wanted that recipe, but I was too lazy to email you and ask you for it! Now I know where it is though and I’ll write it down. They looked good last year and they look good this year too!
Merry Christmas! I hope the kids go nuts opening up presents tomorrow!
Merry Christmas Alyssa!! Simon looks so cute… I hope you have a good morning tomorrow! Er, today, whatever.
You’re baking cookies? They look delicious
Can I have some? ;-) Anyway, Merry Christmas! And I love those photos, especially the first one. Beautiful!

As the domain name suggests, my name is Jenn, and I own this blog. I'm 26 years old and married to my one true ♥, Daniel. And while I have two kids (Alyssa is five, and Ryan is three), you won't find "mommy" in my username or email address, nor does my blog revolve around them. I'm a mother, but most importantly I am me, with a passion for love, blogging, reading, and photography. I'm also a busy freelance writer, web designer & SEO goddess, and a blogger relations person for an adult toy company.

I did the same preparations, but they were for Christmas Eve! The family dinner we had at our house tonight was a lot of fun…I never realized how much of a mess you leave a house in after you have 16 people eating and unwrapping gifts in it…Now we get to go up to my parent’s to set up their new family computer.
Hope your family has a very Merry Christmas!!
