In no particular order, because my thoughts are scattered about…
- Homemade pancakes are very tasty. Alyssa and Ryan and Simon (yes, Simon. He hooverizes the floor during and after the kids are done eating!) all agree. They’re also soft and mushy, which makes my tender wisdom teeth sockets jump for joy.
- Apparently, I had a lactose sensitivity that I did not grow out of until I was four. Does this mean we have three more years of monitoring Alyssa’s cups so that Ryan doesn’t get a hold of them and wind up with killer skin eating acid poop?
- Play-Doh is the shiznit, ya’ll. Alyssa has been spending hours with it every day! I need to get out and get this for her, ASAP!
- Our neighbors missed the “Halloween is over!” memo, because their Halloween decorations didn’t come down until December 22nd. Dan and I are taking bets as to which holiday their Christmas decorations last until – Valentine’s Day or Easter (I’m betting Easter).
- Alyssa has been bitten by the “Can’t get this song out of my head!” bug. She goes around singing, “ella, ella, ella ay ay ay” (Rhianna’s “Umbrella” ) ALL. DAY. LONG.
- I finally fixed the Q &A! Leave it to me to re-install the plugin three different times before realizing that the problem was not the plugin, but in fact the lack of a PHP-enabling plugin being activated. Duh!
- I can haz guestbook? (I’m really flattered that several people took notice of my Tweet and left entries on my guestbook!)
I was going to end this entry RIGHT HERE, but then Alyssa came over to show me her newest Play-Doh creation. “This is Lissy – me!”, she informed me proudly.

OMFG that is so cute. I can’t believe she did that all by herself!!! *so proud*
I know! I swear I didn’t have a hand in any of it, except to take pictures.
Yeah that is to cute. And you know, about your Q&A, I just went and upgraded mine (the plugin you was talking about, I already had it) Now mine works.
I also upgraded a lot others. They upgrade those things to damn much because I believe I just not long ago upgraded mine
I got this for my 3 year old this year, it’s worth the price with the lovely storage and lap-top play, ftw.
Okay, now THAT is the ultimate Play-Doh kit! How did I not see that while at Target?! I really like that. Thank you for linking it here!
I didn’t see it at the Target website.. I got mine from Toys R us and actually, the website has that same thing for the same price but with a few extra bonus toys. I wish they had that value pack one when I went!
Definitely worth it though, it comes with plenty of molds, cutters and doh and the big storage space is perfect for quick clean up and storage and all that jazz <3
Crystal eats the playdoh, and Chelsea never fails to bring me the brown playdoh and ask “Make it poop Mommy”
Man, I want pancakes now!! The last time I had them was on our honeymoon, back in October.
People leave their Christmas lights and decorations up year round down here…that’s just laziness! Ours will be coming down New Year’s Day, per tradition.
I like Alyssa’s sculpture of yourself!
I have neighbours who just leave up Christmas lights all year round, but most of them check the bulbs before keeping them on for hours at a time.
Ahh, Play-Doh. That brings back fond memories. I just hope you don’t have carpet, because my mom occasionally brings up the fact that I mushed it into the living room carpet and it took forever to get out (after that I was only allowed with play it on top of this plastic bucket in the kitchen).
Don’t go and buy play-doh, make it yourself. It is alot of fun and simple to make. Not to mention a whole lot cheaper! (Well I guess 9.99 for 24 tubs of the stuff is a good deal) … but play dough is so fun to make, especially my awesome “Cool-Aid Recipie” it smells yummy and the colour and texure is awesome!
If you ever get the stuff in your carpets. Leave it alone for a day. It will dry out and then all you need to do is stomp on it with something hard to break it up then use the vacuum and suck it up.
I’m happy to see that your Q&A has been fixed, it has been bugging me for a while now. Plus the fact that I recall mentioning it to you once before. That plug in game me the same problem, but of course I had the same problem.
Haha, that play-doh creadtion is just adorable! :D
I actually have neighbors that had their easter AND last year Christmas decorations up (at the same time) until November! I was just thinking why bother taking them down when it was so close to another Christmas xD
Awww how cute is Alyssa’s creation!! I love play-doh!!! I always play with it with the kids at school (I’m a trainee nursery nurse).
Mmmm I love pancakes!!
Yay for your Q & A page working
I really want to use that plugin but everytime i download the zip from the website and try to unzip it, I get a corrupted error. You couldn’t send me the zip via email could you?
Play-Doh is a huge hit around here, too. Another good one, that we got Taylor for Christmas, is the game Hullaballoo. Tons of fun for all of us, and it keeps her entertained for a good little while.
I actually took down all of the Christmas decorations down today… and put away the ornaments. The only thing left to tackle is the tree itself, but we decided to leave it up one more night to enjoy the lights.
Alyssa’s creation is adorable!
And are you sure we don’t live in the same county? Our neighbors always leave decorations up, no matter the holiday! I have my rope lighting attached to the roof still, but the rest are down within a week!
Aww we must get more play doh. Sydney loves it as well. She got that doggie doctor thing last year and it kept her entertained for hours. I wonder if they still have the little people that you can make their hair grow and cut it and make it grow, etc. etc.
Awww Alyssa is so cute! I think she looks way cuter than the play dough version of herslef though.
Wow, I really miss play dough and now I want some.
