Weight loss

It’s no secret that I’m overweight, and trying to lose weight. It’s also no secret that there are hundreds of weight loss methods. Some work, some don’t. Some are safe, some are definitely not. Some are easy to incorporate into one’s daily routine, while others require drastic lifestyle changes. I think we can all agree that one of the best ways to lose weight is to work at losing weight with healthy diet plans and nutritious meals. That’s something I’m working hard at doing right now. In fact, as soon as I finish writing this blog entry, my husband are heading out to take care of some errands. We won’t be parking in the very front of the parking lots, because adding just a little bit of walking every single time you go out can make a difference! And while we may stop for fast food at some point, I plan on choosing something small, something that isn’t fried, and doesn’t have a lot of condiments and gunk with it.

What helps me with keeping motivated on and continuing weight loss is having resources and supports to turn to. There are many websites out there that are great. Two that come to mind are sparkpeople.com and mycaloriecounter.com. But today I came across a new one – weight-loss-diet-help.com. The website is focused on weight loss and dieting, but isn’t limited to just one or two methods. Instead, the site seems pretty unbiased, and has a lot of information on many different ways of losing weight. On the main page there are blurbs of information and links to Medifast, Nutrisystem and Weight Watchers (there’s also a 25% off WW coupon that can be found here. It expires on January 31st.).

In the end, even the best developed and content stocked website won’t cause you to lose weight and lead a healthy lifestyle. But it can be a good start to getting going in the right direction, and keeping on track until you meet your goals.

Now if you’ll excuse me, we have some toddler-chasing to do if we plan on going out today. :)

My mom did the Atkins diet, short term..and lost about 50lbs. Of course, that was with exercising everyday. After she did the Atkins she moved to the South Beach diet and lost a bit more..still while exercising everyday. It seems like a lot of people think that just by taking a bunch of different weight loss pills its gonna make em lose. But, it ALL relies on diet and exercise. Being HEALTHY.

I am a thin girl. People automatically assume that because someone is thin, they are healthy. Or that because someone is overweight, that they are unhealthy. I hate this. I am NOT healthy by ANY means. However, when I change my diet and get the right nutrition…I mean…its like my whole body changes. Its really amazing, but VERY VERY HARD. Its a definite lifestyle change.

PS. I still have gotten the Dominican Moolah. Mail didnt run monday so im sure its gonna take FOREVER. I swear I have the worst luck with mail. My check from work comes from Maryland and its taken two weeks to get here before.
