I fell in love with the heart tree featured in this layout (and in the new theme at Lavish :blush: ) when I first saw it on istockphoto.com last week. I couldn’t wait to get some funds into my PayPal account and have my very own copy of it. 
Layout inspiration came from a desire to have something relating to love and such, without being overly gaudy or red or sickening to look at. And I love the clean, white look (as if my last few clean, white layouts haven’t clued you in!).
One REALLY awesome feature of this layout is the image headlines plugin. It is generating entry titles using a font made from my handwriting! I looked up fontifier.com late last night, after suddenly remembering coming across it around four years ago. I was pleased to find that it was still there, and unlike four years ago, thought nothing of dropping $9 for a one of a kind font!
I’m sorry the new layout wasn’t up sooner. It was mostly finished by 10pm tonight (it’s hard to work on things consistently when you’ve got two three kids going crazy from cabin fever), but the next few hours were tied up with failing at getting AJAX enabled post rendering and comment submitting. I tried five different plugins, all to no avail. Four did absolutely nothing. The fifth worked with my comments, but upon submitting showed a blank comment. That required a refresh of the page — something the AJAX plugin was supposed to eliminate in the first place! Ugh! :mad:
We’re all stuck in the house, thanks to the snow storm turned ice storm that plagued us from Tuesday evening through Wednesday evening. It left behind a nice thick glaze of ice in its wake. Needless to say, the schools were closed on Wednesday, and we weren’t able to go out. Dan has to work in the morning, but I’m not sure if he’ll be able to get out, because a last peek outside around 10pm showed that everything is STILL coated in several inches of ice.
Anyway, I have now run out of things to blog about. Oh yeah: HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!

I’ve had trouble with AJAX as well. I gave up as well — more trouble then it’s worth.
I LOVE this layout. I’m using Terri’s theme on Lavish… but I think I might have to change it now. lol.

You’re layout is awesome, and the fontifier thing is really cool– if I had a scanner I would so do it for the fun of it :biggrin:. And ahhh, I wish it would snow hereee. But no, we’ve been having really mild weather, like 50-60 degrees… boring! I honestly cannot remember the last time I even saw snow… haha.

Loving the heart tree! I always wanted to make a font out of my handwriting but then again… my handwriting is so messy, which is why I prefer typing heh.

Oh man, I’m so jealous of your snow/ice predicament. I know that if I had to experience it I would grow to hate it, but compared to the ridiculous heat and humidity in Florida, that seems like heaven to me, lol.
