Dear God, my left eye is driving me fucking crazy today. I have taken the contact out and rinsed it and my eye twice now, but it still feels like there’s something in there. The itchy, scratchy feeling has me rubbing my eye every few minutes, which certainly isn’t helping things.
So, how was everyone’s Valentine’s Day?
Dan and I put the kids to bed, and then he baked me cookies and made a delicious New York strip steak dinner for us. I’m sure our neighbors thought we were crazy when Dan went out and grilled steaks at 11:30 at night, but who cares? We had the super delicious grilled marinated steaks for dinner, not them. :D We then lounged on the couch and watched television for a few hours, before calling it a night at 2am.
My brother went home to my mom yesterday evening. Hopefully the issues going on there and with the agencies involved will resolve themselves. If not, I think I’m going to ram my head into a wall somewhere, because I’m just so aggravated and frustrated with that entire situation… ugh!
Alyssa is sitting next to me right now, singing songs and reading a book with me. Ryan is running around taking the living room apart and doing his best to put it back together again. I guess he recovered from whatever bug made him throw up in his sleep last night. That was definitely an unpleasant find! Thank god Dan has a high tolerance for vomit covered kids and clothes and bedsheets. All I had to do was start the washer!

(I think I fixed the sidebar-going-beneath-the-entry issue. Yay!)
The steaks sounded yummy and who cares what anyone thinks? Haha, as long as you enjoyed it. Puke and I don’t get along well… thats one thing I’m NOT looking forward to when it comes to the kiddos.
I hate waking up to puke. Crystal used to get so upset at night to the point where she would do that.
Anyway, Carl had gotten me a dozen roses and some bath and body stuff. I feel bad because I havent done anything for him. I’ve been too exhausted this last week to do anything. I do plan on making up for it tomorrow night assumming I am feeling better.
OMG I’d kill for steak right now. It sounds good I wonder how you marinate it?
Mmmm… that dinner sounds fantastic. I wish that was what I had gotten for V-Day. What did I get? Well, Ben got a cell phone, and he talked to me and told me, “Happy VD.” Then we laughed about venereal diseases.
I had a nice Valentine’s – the boy came over and we watched TV, played Wii and then snuggled for a while.
Bliss.
Steaks at 11:30 pm on Valtentine’s Day? I actually think that, in a different way, sounds quite romantic!
It is always unpleasant to wake up to your kid’s vomit the next morning. It’s funny how they can recover from their sickness almost instantly though.
What a fantastic Valentine’s Day! Sounds like you guys had a great time. Steaks, Ipod and printer make for way better Valentine’s than mine. ;)
Thankfully I haven’t arrived at the pukey stage yet, but I know it’s coming. The worst I’ve had to deal with so far is a bad bloody nose. My god I thought the poor kid was dying. Talk about scary!
There might be a little, tiny rip in your contact lense. I had that happen to me once, and only with careful inspection did I notice it. Glad you had a happy Valentines day! My valentine was my puppy because we spent the evening at his first obedience class ;) (I don’t understand why they started it on Valentines day, though…?)
Sounds like you two had a nice V-Day! I didn’t get home cooked steaks…we were too busy with the new puppy!
Aww, that’s a really nicely put together box. Very cute. Sounds like you had a great Valentine’s Day.
I exchanged gifts with my best friend and that was it, but it was nice to see her.
Ooh those steaks sound so delicious!
