After seeing a photo of Ashley’s daughter playing Purble Place, I decided to look it up and try it out with Alyssa. Silly me didn’t realize it was included with Windows Vista’s games! So trying it out was quite easy, since it was already on the computer! Needless to say, Alyssa takes after her mom and dad in terms of using the computer at ease! She’s loving the game so far.
And…I am brilliant. I lost a set of our car keys last year. I replaced the expensive key fob ($120 + $60 programming fee) last summer. Dan let Ryan wander off with his keys last November, and we haven’t seen them since. We replaced the keys right away, but held off on the fob, as while it’s nice to have, it isn’t a necessity. Well, I hit up eBay tonight, and bought a replacement fob for $20 — shipping included! Paying $80 for the fob and its programming fee beats paying over double that at the dealership. :D

Dude, I figured you already had Alyssa on the computer! I’ll have to see if I can dig up some of Casisdy’s first programs and I can send them to you. I *might* have given them to the Goodwill but I’ll look this weekend and see.
Nerdness ftw.
Aww it’s time to get her a little refurbished lappy!
Haha awesome! In 10 or so years we might be reading her blog!
destiny was on the computer at 3. I hope you find her some cool games.
Now you just have to keep her away from chat rooms. Because from my experience, that is the first – and worst – phase internet n00bs go through. JUST DON’T DO IT.
Good lord, you all lose keys more than I lose my mind. Get one of those beeping tracker devices, like in Along Came Polly.
Well, it was only a matter of time before your kids got the computer bug like their parents.
My son loves banging my keyboard so no doubt he’ll be following in my footsteps too.
My dad lost his keys (complete with fob) too. I can’t believe that tiny little key chain costs so damn much money!!! I think he ended up paying a total of $140 for his. I don’t remember him saying anything about a programming fee, but maybe it was included. Good old ebay to the rescue!
Aww, that’s too cute! Glad she likes it
Purple Place is an awesome game, especally the bit when you make cakes! I play it on my Dads laptop, I’m a big kid lol.
I was suprised she hadn’t already started playing on the computer! It’ll be Ryan next
Purbe place is cute! my nphew plays it on my laptop all of the time. Before you know it Alyssa will be wanting her own domain!
Ooh can’t wait till my baby gets his own computer!
Michelle, don’t worry. If getting a computer and using chatrooms when I was fourteen and fifteen taught me anything, it’s that there are some sick fucks online. We plan on being VERY vigilant with both kids.
And since they have computer and internet savvy parents, the chances of them doing something we don’t know about/can’t figure out are pretty slim. ;)
Oh how exciting! Welcome to computers, Alyssa!
I seriously hope Ethan digs computers as much as I.
Hey Jenn! Alyssa is as cute as always.
Lovin’ this layout, btw!
Awwww. I got my first compy when I was four. <3
Yay for spread-y-ness of geekdom!
i only just had a moment like this with my little sister! She’s almost 8 now and uses my dads computer a little to play a few games… and then I remembered this old game I had when I was little that I used to love. And now I let her play it! It was kind of weird seeing the game I used to play, now played by her. Couldn’t believe it stil worked, also. It’s from 97 or 96 or something! haha
