In terms of a blog entry title, that is. I certainly have a few things to blog about. With photos.
So!
First up, Simon’s tail. The vet seems to think it’s nothing more than an odd birth defect. I checked with my mom’s two Persians. Simon’s brother (from the same litter), Fritz, does not have it. Yet Simon’s half-brother, Max (born last spring; he and Simon share the same father), does have it. On Flickr, a person commented on my photo of Simon’s tail and said that his Persian has it as well. So… genetics? A Persian thing? A fluke of nature? Meh. At least it’s nothing to be concerned about. As the vet pointed out, the tip of the bone is very smooth and rounded, with the skin tapering down around it. So it has always been like that, and doesn’t pose a problem.
But still, seeing white bone gleaming in the light is just a LITTLE FREAKY. *shudder* Thank goodness he has all that fur to hide it!
Alyssa turned forty months old on Wednesday. Yes, I treat my children like aged cheese and count the months. If you’re a parent of a toddler, I’m sure you do too! Especially with younger toddlers… Ryan is one in terms of years, but being one as in twelve months is a far cry developmentally from being one year and seven months, making a sum total of nineteen months!
Speaking of Ryan, he turned nineteen months old on Thursday.

P.S. How do you get a huge honking printer to stay put on a top shelf of a computer tower? With bungee cords, of course!
I’m glad there’s nothing wrong with Simon’s tail. If other cats you know of have it, it’s not raw and it doesn’t seem to bother him, hopefully it’s not too much of a problem.
Right. I’m now off to try and calculate my OWN age in months! Hahah!
That printer intimidates me a little bit. Sort of like a robotic massive device that has one big blue eye keeping watch on you. Watch out, one day it’s going to print out something it saw you doing…

Aw, your kids are adorable! :-) Lol @ “”40 months.” I always tease people who count their kids ages in months after a certain period of time. It’s so funny to me. “Yes, my child is 93 months old.” Gotta love it.
My boyfriend and I have figured out that I’ve been around for 210 months. ^^,
