So I have a T-Mobile Dash. I bought the T-Mobile Dash because I wanted a cell phone that I could not only make calls with, but check email, browse the internet, and use messengers and the like. Up until three or so weeks ago, the Dash accomplished all of that beautifully. Since three weeks ago? Not so much. At first, I wasn’t able to connect to receive email at random times.
An error occurred while downloading messages. Be certain that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct and then try again.
Then I wouldn’t be able to use Internet Explorer (I am anxiously awaiting the release of a mobile version of Firefox, as I hate IE!).
The page cannot be displayed or downloaded because the connection was lost. Check the connection and try again later.
And I wouldn’t be able to sign on to Windows Live or Tiny Twitter.
For the last week, with the exception of once around 6am this morning, I haven’t been able to do squat in terms of communication, aside from the typical call making and receiving, and text message sending and receiving. This happens whether I’m using my phone signal, or if I’m on our home network. So I called T-Mobile today. I’m informed that there’s scheduled maintenance going on for the next twenty-four hours, and the ability to use my data plan may be lost. Gee, that’s nice… except that it doesn’t explain my connection issues for the LAST THREE GODDAMN WEEKS. The so-called tech doesn’t know her ass from a hole in the ground now, apologizes, suggests I call back in forty-eight hours, after the update is well and over with. Thanks for nothing, and the wasted twenty minutes of my life. Ugh.
Today was a gorgeous day, and I felt 150% better than I did yesterday. So we packed up the kids this afternoon and went out, this time to a playground that Dan suggested. My Nikon came with us, as always. I took a decent amount of pictures, but spent most of the afternoon swinging, pushing Alyssa and/or Ryan on the swings, and talking with another couple and their two boys (two and a half and four), and sharing bubbles with them.
Hope you don’t mind the pictures.
The full set is here.

Those photos are so great. You have two beautiful kids. I wish there was a park like that around here. Our park, is no to great. Lots of garbage around.
Instead of IE on your phone try Mini-Opera, it works a lot better than IE!

Ugh…I hate calling tech support for anything…I always seem to get the person who doesn’t have a clue! Cute photos…I like the last one especially. Ryan’s face is too cute!!
Tech support is useless a lot of times, ugh. The park looked like it was loads of fun.
I remember once when I called the cable company because it wasn’t working and the person’s only suggestion was to turn off the box and turn it on again…
The park looked like it was a lot of fun, I think the best shot is of Dan going down the slide with Alyssa.
Three weeks is close to an entire month. They should refund you for the service for the full month!
*cough* iPhone *cough* AT&T the best *cough* yes I work for them.
great pictures! your kids are so cute!
Alyssa is a great name btw. Way to go on spelling it right!
Oooh, Jenn, call them again and complain – I’ve been having a problem with my Sidekick LX since about a week after I bought it. E-mail wasn’t an issue, but I would constantly lose internet service, or get really strange errors, and AIM would never connect. I called customer service about a dozen times to be told it’s my service area, it’s maintenance, and I had them troubleshoot my phone three times. I know it’s not the service area, because I had no problem with my Sidekick 3 before it. Come to find out from my brother’s girlfriend, who works for T-Mobile, that T-Mobile is now putting a cap on customers who put too much “strain” on the network, basically anyone who uses the internet every day. Another reason I’m counting down the days until I switch to AT&T.
I hate tech support so much! Completely useless. I rang up tech support a couple of weeks ago because my dads internet stopped working, and the guy on the other end couldn’t even speak english properly! Very frustrating.
Those are really nice photos
Bah. Technical problems are the worst things ever. I hope you’ve managed to sort things out.
Nice photos, your family is photogenic! :D
