This CNN article was a godsend. Not only did it provide estimated payment dates from the IRS itself, but also linked to a spiffy calculator where you plug in some basic information from your 2007 tax return in order to find out what you’ll be getting back!
Today is blah. Nothing good, nothing bad. Just blah. But blah is okay. I need some boringness in my life, because whenever there’s excitement, I can guarantee that at least some of it is rather dramalicious.
Dinner: browned chicken, rice and broccoli simmered in cream of chicken soup and various spices. Yummy!

Nina, are you referring to your tax refund? Because as far as I know, the tax rebates, aka the economic stimulus payments, won’t be heading out to individuals until May! But hey, if you got yours sooner, feel free to share your secrets.
It didn’t take long to get our refund. Hubby still has to refile his though because he didn’t wait until my tax forms came.
I have to do mine, my uncle’s, and my mother’s. Yay for freebies! Hmm I wonder what we’re getting :-D
I’ve put mine in, about two weeks ago. Our neighbor is doing it, and I haven’t gotten word yet. Hopefully, I get a hefty lump back.
I’m getting an absolutely ginormous monstrous return as it is because I waaay overpaid my tax estimates each quarter last year (for that very reason!). But I still can’t wait for my accountant to get my taxes done so I know how much I’ll have to spend on video games and beer.
Oh that’s a lot of money. Yay for that.
Free money is always good
I agree, without boredom there ain’t no excitement, and exciting things wouldn’t be as exciting.
Enjoy your food
Methinks a few people in these comments are confused about the difference between a tax refund and a tax rebate.
As for the rebate itself.. eh. It’s really just a waste, IMO. I don’t think it’s going to accomplish anything. I mean, money is nice, but we’re all going to have to a) claim it as income next year and/or b) see a cut in our state budget to cover the cost of the package.
I thought I might be getting something, but I’m not.
If my disability payments totaled $3000, instead of just over $2500, I would. Bleh.
I should have been more specific — I meant, we found out how much we were going to be getting back for the reBATE last week. Not the reFUND. Blame that on typing errors.

I am so excited about these rebate checks!
