It’s raining like crazy outside. And because it’s warm, and the rain is heavy, I played a Frogger marathon all the way to the pizza place we had dinner at tonight. Five miles worth of frogs. I lost count at 47… for the frogs on *my* side of the road! And I only managed to hit one. Poor froggy.
Coming home, the amount of splattered frog patties and akimbo legs made me almost ready to vomit up my pizza. :yuck:
My contacts finally arrived. I called Vision Direct on April 7th to inquire about the whereabouts of my contacts, seeing as how I had ordered them on March 28th, and their own website ensured a 3-6 day delivery. I was told they had been mailed that day. Funny, the shipment date wasn’t until the next day, the 8th. They arrived today. Thank goodness. My eyes have been feeling itchy and scratchy all day. I’m looking forward to ditching these contacts and having fresh ones!
Speaking of contacts — does anyone have any particular suggestions for a good contact solution? I have Bausch & Lomb PureVision contacts, and I wear them for 14 – 18 hours per day. Should I invest in a protein solution?
Alyssa was such a whiny, defiant little mess today. I guess she had to make up for her extra sweetness yesterday, when she came up to me, hugged me, took my face in her hands and kissed both of my cheeks, and told me, “Mommy, you’re my best friend”. This age she’s at is so fun, but so infuriating. She is definitely her own little person now, with her own thoughts and ideas, and absolutely no hesitation to voice and act on them!
I want to take her to the Philadelphia zoo, desperately. But our bank account won’t allow it. I’m hoping for an extra $100 or so to just up and fall in my lap. Then I could take her!
Ryan has been a total cuddle bug lately. He also likes to come up behind me when I’m on the floor and give me hugs. But he never gives me straight on hugs. He does, however, often back up and plop down right into my lap. Such a strange and loving little guy he is!
Yesterday. Beautiful, sunny, warm. I picked up my brothers and took all four kids to the playground. Wasn’t that a shining example of how I am a glutton for punishment: one adult and four kids! They all had a great time though. I walked with Alyssa and Ryan over to the (closed! Boo.) petting zoo, and lavished attention on a very affectionate little goat.
He was so sweet! He was rubbing along the fence much like a purring cat does along your legs and furniture. I bet he would have been all over us if we were in the pen with him. And Alyssa loved him. Can you see why I want to take her to the zoo so badly!?
Dan is playing Guitar Hero. On hard, I think. Oops, scratch that. He’s on medium because he’s one of those anal retentive perfectionists that wants perfect everything. I’m still on easy, because my ring finger and pinkie finger refuse to operate independently of one another.
All right. I think I’m going to wrap this up. I have an iPod to go track down. As a last ditch effort, I bought a replacement battery, because I noticed that the iPod would turn on if plugged into the charger. But on its own? Nothing. And of course, now that the battery finally arrived, the iPod has gone MIA!
Psst… I PROMISE to finish jenn.nu’s layout tonight!

I love Guitar Hero but I can’t seem to get away from easy. I can barely do the ones on easy. I don’t think I will be able to up to medium much less hard, lol. I’m not very coordinated. I had hope that the iPod would work after a couple days of drying out. Hopefully the new battery will make it work like new again. I can’t wait to see what you’ve come up with for the new theme. :]
I suck at Guitar Hero too. I am also not very coordinated. I play on easy, and I still suck. RockBand is a lot easier. I can play guitar better on there, but I always end up singing since no one else wants too. I usually get at least 90% singing. You should get that if you don’t have it already. It is SO fun.
Aww, that’s a cute little goat. I loved going to petting zoos when I was young. I bet the goat liked getting some attention on the day the petting zoo was closed.
I’m a shitty GH player too, but I haven’t played it as much as I could, We DO have it for 3 different systems. Alyssa sounds like such a little sweetheart. It’s pouring here tonight too but it’s somewhat relaxing I think.
I really need to get GH, I hear so much about it but don’t have it. LOL I want to get a PS3 so I can play RockBand, but I’d settle for SingStar for my PS2.
That’s so sweet, Alyssa and the goat! I can see why you’d want to take her to the zoo!
Frogs? Seriously? Ew. lol. I hate frogs. They’re just weird to the touch. I’ve never seen a whole bunch of them on the road though. Hm.
I’m just like you when it comes to GH. Stupid pinky and ring finger don’t want to move separately. That, and I end up looking at the guitar because I can’t find the button, and miss notes on the screen. lol.
Ps, you’ve been tagged!
The best contact solution that you can use on overnight lenses (like purevision, night and day, etc) is Optifree Replenish. It kills more bacteria and it causes less damage to your cornea. Even though it says no-rub, we still recommend rubbing for about 10 seconds on each side in a plus sign (no circles.) If you have allergies or your lenses feel itchy, use Clear Care once a week. Make sure you read the directions and let the lenses soak for a minimum of six hours. Read the directions and don’t get it in your eyes!! Let me know if you have anymore questions.
The Llamas are so cute! I am going through the same thing with Riley, and angel one day, a holy terror the next. Got to love the two/three year olds!!! Heh! Good luck finding your MIA iPod.
Oops, just read your twitter about finding the iPod. Heh. Hope it works.
