Yesterday.
In the early evening the sun came out in full force, so the kids and I went out to yet another playground. And for once, Ryan actually interacted with the playground equipment! Usually he just wanders around or swings in the toddler swings.
He wouldn’t go in the tube though. He was content to peer into it from both ends.
Alyssa loved the pond near the playground (who builds a playground less than thirty feet from a pond? Without any type of fence in between the two? Seriously?), and couldn’t get enough of looking at it and throwing sticks and rocks into it.
On the way home I pulled over on the side of the road to take a picture of something I’ve been wanting to get a shot of for the last year, and melted a bit inside:
Then, later, after we made a stop for dinner and hadn’t yet left to go home, I was leaning in the front of the car, putting things in before finishing tending to the kidlets in their car seats, and looked back and saw this:
And promptly melted some more. My uterus went into overdrive with sending out the baby urges.
Today.
- Links – fixed!
- Guestbook – fixed!
- Added a plugin which spits out my blog’s exact age (going by date of first post). Mine? 2,627 days, or seven years and a handful of months
- Threw up the line of code (see bottom of site) that spits out visitors for the day/total. I forgot about it several themes ago.
I still have those seventeen or eighteen comments to manually add back to this entry. I’m just not sure how to go about doing it yet. Make eighteen comments under my name and manually edit the details for all of them? Try to throw the originals in through MySQL? Hope that a plugin exists? Email all the commenters with a copy of their comment and ask them to re-comment with it (I’ll then change the dates)? Argh.
Ryan is currently squatting over one of the air vents, giving me a goofy little look of bliss as the warm air blows up onto him. I guess he was feeling a little chilled as well! Silly boy.

Your days just seem so filled! I love the photos you take. I agree with you on the pond thing. Hopefully any child who is brought to that playground has attentive parents!
The weather needs to make up its mind. I was just getting used to warmth.
I love the photo of Alyssa and Ryan. ^_^ I’m with you on the baby urges.
*sigh*
I wish it were heater weather here. I have all the windows open tonight, because it is actually a little cooler than usual. In fact, the cozy facotr kicked in and my daughter pulled her Barbie sleeping bag out of the closet and is sleeping on the floor.
Too hot, too early here. I am sunburned and ready to pull out my tank tops.
Those are some great photos. I really liked the one with the mare and the foal.
Cuuuuuute pictures! I really love the second one. Sounds like you had an amazing day. I’m looking forward to taking a little one to the playground in the future.
the picture of your two children holding hands is priceless! lol @ baby urges!
man it’s just got into the 50′s hear and that’s when i turn my heat OFF! lol last night it was hot as heck at 54 degrees!
It got cooler here, too. It was all nice and around 80 for a few days, then all of a sudden dropped into the 60′s.
Samantha gets scared of the playground stuff, too. She freaks out if we try to make her go through the tubes or slide down the slide. Silly kids.
Aww, I love all those pictures, especially the one of Ryan & Alyssa holding hands.

Haha cute photos, especially the one of Ryan and Alyssa! When they fight as teenagers you’ll be able to pull it out and prove to them that they are capable of getting along!
As for the vanishing comments, I’d probably hope for some sort of plugin to help you. Everything else sounds like an awful lot of effort!
