Four hours

Running on four hours of sleep, my mom is nineteen minutes late and counting (but seriously, what else is new?), but the good thing is that we’re ALL. READY. Camera battery is charged, extra memory card is packed, sunscreen for the three of us is in my purse, bottles of water that were extra chilled in the freezer are in a bag, and we’re all dressed. Dan is snoozing on our bed while Alyssa asks me every 1.5 seconds when Meh-mom is going to get here. And me? I’m watching the clock, trying not to think about the fact that I would have liked to have been twenty minutes closer to Philadelphia right now! Grrr…

Anyway! I rolled over, 20,000 photos yesterday. The camera reset its numbering back to _001, of course.

My two favorite shots from yesterday:

9:23 now… no answer at her house, and of course her cell phone is off. I don’t get it. She has all day to do nothing and nothing to do during it, and the boys are HERE with US, so why isn’t she here? What’s the hold up? Why is I can get somewhere ON TIME with 2-4 kids and she can’t do it by herself? She does this shit all of the time. Argh…

Damn, I hope you are on the road by now. I’d be semi pissed if I were you. I hate it when people throw off my plans for no good reason.

I’m sad, there’s nothing to do around here today. I mentioned we could go to the zoo and I forgot…INDY 500 today. No thanks, been in that traffic and done that!

My mother cannot, CANNOT be on time. Doesn’t matter where we’re going, what time we’re going – she’s always late. It frustrates me so much so I totally understand. Have fun!

A great tip for next time… lie. Tell her 8:30 instead of 9. :) I do that to my mom when it’s important. I feel bad, until I think about us being so late to my graduation that they wouldn’t let me walk across the stage. All because of her slow poking. It’s like hello you woke me up. Why am I ready before you?

Glad you made it to the zoo. :) Your entry has made me want to visit our zoo here. Sascha has never been to the zoo!

Your children are incredibly adorable! :D You’ve been using your camera so well. I’ve been looking into the Nikon D60 recently. I think I’m going to end up getting it as soon as I have the funds! Between your photos and the photos from another friend of mine with the D40 it’s made me rethink my camera choice!

My current camera is on the fritz and I’ve been missing so many great shots of Sascha and Fumiko because it’s doing all sorts of crazy things. So I’m desperate for a good camera.

Anyways. lol I can’t wait to see what photos you bring home from the zoo. :D Hope you guys have fun!

Danielle took the words right out of my mouth. Love the pictures of the kids. Wow.

  10. Those pics are lovely. Your little ones are so cute. I have just found your blog, I remember you from kiss-my-kitty and when you were just having your son. Glad to find you again.

You’re little ones are getting so big! And adorable! That picture of your son looks like something you’d see on the toilet paper package, thereby giving the consumer an image of something soft and cuddly. LMAO.
