Slightly used. Comes with plenty of clothes, toys and attitude.
Kidding, of course. ;) Tuesday was just one of those days. She’s turning into a little liar: asking one of us a question, and when we say no, running to the other with the same question, and adding, “But Mommy/Daddy said yes!”
Then there’s the huge royal pain in the butt she is for Dan, not listening, whining, turning on the tears if you so much is look at her sternly, and generally acting like a pathetic little pampered princess who can’t do anything for herself, because she knows Dan will do it for her. I don’t know who to smack: her or Dan. How about both?
I feel bad for saying so, but Alyssa is SO much better behaved when Dan isn’t here. When he is… ergh. Then he starts whining to me because she won’t listen, and I feel like I have three kids on my hands!
Jason is here, and he and Dan are singing on American Idol Encore. I’m itching to play GTA4, but the game isn’t too much fun if there isn’t anyone to run around and blow up with rocket launchers. My mom and I played for two hours last night — SO fun.
Oh my god… they’re both doing Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On. I’m grabbing tissues now, because I know I’m going to be crying tears before the song is over. Okay, scratch that, the song is like ten seconds in and I’m laughing uncontrollably.
Sunburn… meh, I’m getting there. Having Dan touch my neck/back/upper shoulders with refrigerated soothing aloe vera gel is brutal, because being touched hurts, and the cold gel sends me into shudders and twitches, but five minutes after the application I’m feeling fantastic. Too bad my baking skin warms it up so quick. Seriously, you can feel the heat radiating off of me from like five feet away. Ugh. I’m such a douche.
I got an email earlier today that scared me. Two, actually. It was a notification from my WordPress installations on jenn.nu and mamahood.org letting me know that my email/password had been successfully changed. Um. What? WHAT?! So I logged into ALL of my WordPress installations and changed the emails back to what they should be. They were showing as x3p@hotmail.com, and my blog descriptions had been changed to reflect some crap about an anti-Islam movement? I also updated all of my passwords, and confirmed that I have blog backups being emailed to me every single day.
Oh, and hello to anyone coming from PayPerPost! jenn.nu is today’s blog of the day. Yay. I’m special.
Okay, off I go. The boys are singing Over the Rainbow, so I need to go laugh some more.

I’ll gladly buy Alyssa but you must purchase my three LOL ;P
I know what you mean about “that age”. My nephew is sooo well-behaved when he’s with me, but as soon as Mommy is in the room, he pretty much is a holy terror because he knows that with her, everything is “Oh, he’s just a baby!” (even though he’s four).
I hope your sunburn gets better soon, and that WP thing sounds scary, hopefully it’ll be left alone now.
Congrats on being blog of the day, too. :D
congrats on being blog of the day in PPP.
great blog and love the pics too
Congrats girl! for being PPP blog of the day.
Your Alyssa is so cute.
I can so relate to the sunburn. I remember not wearing any sunscreen down in the Dominican. Ya…big mistake. The first day I was there I got so badly burnt that the entire week was spent trying to stay in the shade and then dealing with the aftermath – stiff torso and nasty peeling skin. :dead:
So I am Dan….You are Kevin. That’s how it is in my house as well. Oh the whining an oh the lying. Just now we started this whole thing where a fly can land on her, she can smack it, go potty, eat a full meal, run a marathon and THEN and only THEN will she start crying uncontrollably over that fly landing on her one shade redder than usual possibly maybe sunburned arm. It’s ridiculous. The other day, I kid you not, 5 minutes she waited to cry about something then tried to lie, I mean explain it off as to why.
Welcome to girls. I witnessed this with two of them this weekend, the boys were pretty much self sufficient. At least you’ve got half a chance over there, I’m stuck in estrogen land.
Jordan is the same way, as soon as Ross steps foot through the door she turns into a whiny little brat. She knows that he is the softy and I’m the disciplinary parent.
It sucks.
I also just got an email about one of my WordPress plugins password being reset. Weird…
I was at my pool for 13.5 hours Saturday, 11 hours Sunday and 11 hours on Monday and was BURNT to a crisp even WITH sunburn. I feel your pain.
even with *sunblock. haha sorry it’s been a long week already.
OMG. Alyssa is a MINI YOU! Seriously, I’ve never seen her look so much like as she does in those pictures.
And you think it’s bad NOW!? You just wait.. *evil cackle*
Alyssa looks so grown up in those photos
I burnt my back last summer so bad that I’m pretty sure it was 2nd degree. It took about a month and a half for my skin to finally start peeling – and it came off in chunks (TMI, I know).
Hope your back feels better soon!
Alyssa is so freakin’ adorable! I know how you feel about wanting to temporarily put a child up for sale… Ethan is a good little guy when Jeff is at work, but the minute daddy walks in- watch out!
I love the letters spelling Alyssa’s name. Very cute!
Congrats for being the blog of the day. You deserve it, sis you’ve got a very nice blog.
I know the feeling coz my kids went through that, too. They tend to favor their father coz he was always at their rescue, making me appear the culprit.
Pls visit me in my blog, too.
Congrats for the award. Oh sunburn, it is such an agony.Makes you want to dip in the water always. I hope you’ll be fine soon.
I never quite understood that but mommy/daddy said yes thing… if they said yes then why are you asking again?!
Thats totally how my kids are with me. Yesturday Carl stayed home with them, and he said they were perfect angels all day. But as soon as I walk through the door, “Mommy Uppppp… Mommmyyyyy I want…… Mommmmmyyyyyyyy!”
omg congrats! and that picture of your daughter is too too cute. are those letters up on her wall or you edit the photo? n/e way sorry you had to deal w/ hackers. x3p/red devilz crew have gotten into all these sites i wonder what fun they find in it. i guess they have alot of time on their hands. http://company-travel.nl/ or even just google the e-mail address
This is obviously a ‘gag’ from the German couple whom posted their baby on Ebay.
Silly Jenn.
The Idol Encore game sound fun. I’ll have to try it out sometime.
Mine is 3 and has already figured out how to play us and hes doing the “help me cause i cant get off my ass and do it myself” thing. Drives me nuts.
