First, the bad: the night swim Dan and I planned to do tonight? It was canceled. Go figure, when I called around 5pm, when it was RAINING and THUNDERING, the pool staff said that the 8pm-11pm swim was still on. When I called again at 7:45pm, right before we were about to leave, when the skies were CLEAR, the pool staff said it had been canceled. I was bummed. I’m still bummed, actually. :grumpy: But Dan and I took advantage of the babysitters we had at the house (Dan’s brothers and sisters), and went out to dinner with Jason, and then went mini-golfing (I lost, by the way. When I played last weekend with Dan and his four siblings, I came in third place.).
We came back to an organized house, immaculate living room, clean kitchen, and kids in bed. I can’t tell you how HAPPY this made me! :happycry: Whenever my mom babysits, I come home to a dirty kitchen and stuff strewn all over the living room and in the kids’ rooms. But Dan’s two brothers and two sisters were PERFECT. They even did the dishes! But then, I guess the odds were a little more even: a twenty-three year old, twenty year old, fifteen year old and fourteen year old could definitely handle a nearly two year old and three and a half year old without too much hassle.
On Thursday I need to go to my mom’s for a little bit, and Dan is going to take Alyssa to a nearby kid oriented amusement park that she has been asking to go to every day (in addition to going to the beach, going swimming, going out, going to Target, going camping, and riding on a school bus). I hope that we don’t do anything on Friday, because Saturday I have to get up early for Ryan’s follow up doctor appointment (for the mystery spot), and Sunday will be spent PACKING FOR THE BEACH!
All right, I think I’m going to bed. I finished Jenna Jameson’s How to Make Love Like a Porn Star (it was a very good read!), but I now have Jennifer Weiner’s In Her Shoes to get through.
Goodnight everyone!

That sucks about swimming being cancelled, but hurrah for the cleaned house! :D
ahaha! I get the same ‘school’ and ‘school bus’ thing from Taylor. “Can I go to school tomorrow?” “You can go to school with me! And we’ll ride the school bus!”
I’m surprised I don’t have my own blog tag yet. You’ve talked about me enough lately!
j/k!
