I love glitter. LOVE it. So whenever I see an eyeshadow or eyeliner or lip gloss with glitter in it, I buy it. But there have been a few times where the glitter was just on the top of the eyeshadow, or a glaze put around the outside of a lipstick. And unfortunately, this was the case with Rimmel’s Stir it Up eyeshadow. I really hate it when cosmetics companies do this crap. It seems very deceptive. Dammit, I want my glitter mixed throughout my makeup, not just on the outside!
By the way, the stuff isn’t that good. It’s a cream eyeshadow (which I’ve sworn off, except for Maybelline’s Cool Effects), the color is rather flat, and it creased up not long after I put it on. Meh. That was a nice wasted $6. :rolleyes:
I’m so bored today. The kids are too. I need laundry detergent, as I have six loads of laundry waiting for me, but I can’t get any because my mom has my car and Dan is at work until 8pm. I would have had more laundry detergent, but my mom ran out of hers earlier this month, so I gave her eight loads worth of mine (she has a regular washer, so I gave her twice the amount of HE laundry detergent so she could do four loads). Grr.
I woke up this morning in a dash. I had glanced at the clock, saw it was 11:39am (yeah, we all slept late today), and freaked, thinking it was Monday and I had exactly six minutes to get my teeth brushed, contacts put in, clothes on and kids up before several people arrived for a meeting about Ryan’s progress with the therapists. I was in the middle of wrenching off my tankini when I realized it was Sunday. Heh.
Bored, bored, bored… Maybe I’ll go read up on some travel insurance or something.
I use that roller eyeshadow made by Cover Girl or is Maybelleine… Hell, I forget. I just know I like it and has the glitter.
The only eyeshadow I wear is stuff for theatre productions (lol!) and I don’t even wear much makeup in general, but yeah, I can see why it annoys you, it does seem like false advertising!
Have you tried Everyday Minerals? It’s got great stuff and the eyeshadows are matte, with shimmer or pearly.
It’s cheap too!
That eyeshadow is exactly like this “glitter” palette I bought a couple years ago. It had all sorts of cool colors and had glitter just on the outside like that. Very misleading, indeed. I was so mad. It doesn’t go on good at all, so I don’t even use it.
I love Bare Minerals eyeshadow. They have everything from regular eyeshadow to Glimmer eyeshadows which have a TON of glitter! They run about $13 a pot though.
I bought that same one thinking like you that I want glitter all though out and once I opened it and found out I was wrong I was pissed. Thats the 1st time and last time I’m gonna purchase it..
