Last night I noticed a spider hanging around (literally!) in front of my desk. It was red and chunky and kind of neat looking. Besides, spiders are kind of useful to keep around, since they get rid of other pesky bugs. So I let him stay. I even took a few pictures of him (they didn’t turn out as good as I had hoped):
Then he lunged at me. I don’t know if he didn’t like the flash, or decided to make a web using the wall and my lens as anchors or what, but as I kept backing up, he kept coming with me. So I did what any girl would do: drop the camera (gently!!!) onto my desk chair and run screaming to the other end of the house.
My mom was there to witness my less than graceful display of bravery. She laughed until she cried. As for me, I was on edge and my skin was crawling for a good hour after that!
Hehe. I would definitely run from the spider too! But it is rather pretty.
I’m scared just looking at the picture. I hate spiders with a passion.
^^ Me too! I saw it on Flickr just before you posted this post and was like “ARGH! A spider!” and nearly ran from the computer! It looks BIG! :O
Haha, that is really, really funny. As a fellow arachnophobic, I would do the same exact same thing!
We get the occasional spider, too. They’re tiny and harmless.
But then, I did have to deal with that effing scorpion.
EW! I dont like spiders at all. One time there was a spider in the car and I was freaking out about it. My daughter (not even 3 years old yet) was like, “calm down mommy, its okay, it wont hurt you” lol.
I love spiders, but I’m scared of them at the same time lol.
Ewe. Carl hates spiders, so I would have been obligated to show it to him first and then I would have to squish it.

Ahh spiders! You were very brave to take those photos, I would of ran to the furthest corner after seing it :blush:
If that were me, that spider would be soo squished lol. But I probably would have gotten my hubby to do it though because I’d be scared it would jump on me or something
