No streaking until you’re potty trained!

We have a rule in our house: no streaking until you’re potty trained. I said this to Alyssa last summer when she was in a phase where stripping off her clothes and running bare-assed through the house was a favorite activity of hers, and I said it again this morning when Ryan came out of his bedroom, boy parts swinging in the breeze, without a care in the world.

I slept late today. I had every intention of getting up at 9:30am and doing some blogging and other work before the kidlets got up. I even set my alarm clock. But when the phone rang a little after 9am for Dan, I decided that I could use another hour or two of sleep, and off the alarm went. Well, I wound up sleeping until almost noon. Oops.

So here’s another thing about Ryan: he is starting to hug. At first he would come up behind me (when I would be sitting on the floor playing with him or Alyssa, or even doing something that required more space than my desk has to offer) and give me a squeeze. Now we get frontal hugs as well, though they’re mainly aimed at our legs. He also head butts us in affectionate. Other kids give hugs and kisses. We get hugs and head butts.

Did you notice that I finally updated jenn.nu’s sidebar? I’m no longer almost 24, as I’ve been since two weeks before my birthday and almost four weeks after. :P

  1. ha ha…we had a period of time where we let our oldest run around naked as a means of helping him get used to potty training. Thankfully we had hardwood floors but I do believe it helped him potty train quicker because he began to realize what was happening and when to make a mad dash to the potty.

Hehe. I don’t recall ever streaking around my house when I was younger (and I’ve never been teased by my family about it, so I probably never did it). Alyssa and Ryan look so adorable together. :)

  3. I find it so cute how much your kids look like you and Dan. When I have kids, I hope I can see myself in them. I look nothing like my parents.

I hate sleeping until noon…Wait, let me take that back. I love sleeping late, but when I get up at noon, I feel like half of my day is wasted, and there’s a huge lack of motivation to get any work done for the rest of the day.

Alyssa looks just like Dan in this photo! Do these two ever fight? They seem to get along so well…at least in the pics you take! :cute:

And I did notice a week or so ago that you were still “almost 24!” I just changed my sidebar last night…and my birthday was before yours!
