Alyssa’s favorite song of the moment month seems to be Katy Perry’s I Kissed a Girl. We first heard this song back in June, when we were driving down to the beach. I liked it right away, and downloaded it and put it on my iPod a few days later. Alyssa is definitely loving the song too! She requests it all of the time — here at home, at my mom’s, in the car, etc. If I tell her it’s not playing on the radio, she’ll reply, “No Mommy, just use your iPod!” Kid’s too smart for her own good. ;)
Anyway, I recorded a short 45 second clip of her singing along to it tonight. If you like squeaky toddler singing, crank up your speakers and hit play!
I have a headache, and I’m sleepy. I need to get back into the swing of things in terms of not wanting to crash at midnight. It’s just way too weird to go to bed that early! Anyway, I guess I’ll keep myself going with some things I need to work on, and a spam folder to empty out. I have several emails from a wine of the month club club piling up; I need to look for the unsubscribe option for that company and several others. How do I get signed up for this stuff?!

I absolutely love how your not one of those mothers who disapproves of their kids singing such lyrics. :biggrin: I can think of so many mothers who would ban that kind of music from their kids ears, which I think is a bit silly since the child doesn’t really pay any attention to the lyrics.

That’s awesome. My best friend and I have been singing this song all the time. Apparently it’s just one catchy song.
Gotta’ be careful where I sing it around here, though. Haha. The Bible Belt of the deep south isn’t actually appreciative of such lyrics. I’m surprised there haven’t been CD burnings or something equally ridiculous yet.

There is this one 5 year old at my work she sings it all the time …. it is the funniest thing ever. She sings it like she is in a Musical Theater production too… which is really funny to watch and listen to.
