September is days away, which means that Dan and I need to put our heads together and figure out what Alyssa and Ryan should be for Halloween. We like the idea of “themes”. Two years ago we did a garden thing: ladybug for Alyssa, peas in a pod for Ryan. Last year was the princess and the dragon. This year…? The idea of us dressing up along with them is tempting, but it would also be expensive, inconvenient and probably a hassle. Right now I’m looking at halloweenadventure.com’s halloween costumes for some ideas. The couples costumes has a few good things, but overall I find the suggests (bacon and eggs? Adam and Eve? C’mon!) to be a bit… tacky. Meh.
So, back to ideas for Alyssa and Ryan.
I think that green fairy costume is cute! Gah, why do I always migrate back to princesses and fairies? I’ll have to look over the website with Alyssa for some ideas. I asked her last week and she mentioned being a witch or a ghost (“Just cut holes in a bed sheet Mommy!”).
What are you going to be dressing your kids up as for Halloween?
