I used to tease my grandmother about watching the Lifetime channel, because “back in the day” almost every single movie somehow revolved around some poor woman being abused by her husband or boyfriend or family. Domestic violence scenes and depressing crying scenes would be sprinkled liberally throughout a melodramatic movie that would somehow end on a happy, or at least poignant, note.

But from what I’ve heard from others, the Lifetime channel of today is a bit different. In addition to a better selection of more diverse movies and shows, Lifetime also has mylifetime.com. The website has something to offer everyone, including astrological readings, craft ideas, games and more.
