Getting up at 6:50am SUCKED royally. Especially since I didn’t go to sleep until after 3am. I swear, the world needs to operate on a more night owl friendly schedule. ;) 9am meetings are bad enough, but when the meeting is at a location that is over an hour away, and you have to drag out kids who normally sleep until 10am and pick up your mother before you even get there… yeah, it was rough. My mom babbled about this, that and the other thing, Alyssa dozed, Ryan stared out the window and held onto a ball (that ball went with us everywhere today), and my brain wasn’t on anything but getting us from point A to point B.
The meeting went as expected… nowhere. But we did record the entire meeting, and I made sure to throw out a few questions to the Children & Youth social worker which essentially made her look like an ass in front of everyone. Small victory, but it still felt good. Besides, having her stumble and falter and hem and haw ON RECORD (to later use in front of a judge and God knows where else) is priceless. ;)
Ugh. It’s going on 1am, and I still need to look up some info on casserole recipes and wedding favors, write up a few blog entries, and knock out another 4000 word project. Wish me luck! I do have that speech recognition software installed, and my new headset is all ready to go, so hopefully the writing will go a lot quicker. :D

I’m sure it was priceless to record her. She did know that she was being recorded though, right? Don’t know if there’s any laws against things like that where you are.
I get up at 6am on a daily basis… So I’m used to it, except staying up until 2am and then waking up at 6am really sucked on Monday.

I was just going to ask the same thing – if all parties involved aren’t aware they’re being recorded or didn’t give permission to be recorded – they won’t let you use it in court. Which sucks. But at least you have a record of the fact that the CYS people don’t know what they’re doing/talking about.
