I never did the whole obnoxious Trick or Treat rhyme. I was always a good little Trick or Treater, saying please and thank you. Dan and I are working hard at instilling the same politeness and courtesies into Alyssa, and we’ll do the same for Ryan.
Tonight we went to a Halloween bonfire. I’m transferring pictures from my digital camera as I type this. We had SO much fun. We had a friend babysit Ryan, since there was no way he’d be able to handle all of the people, noise, commotion and visual and audio stimulation. Alyssa came along, of course, and was all too happy to go all out in her Halloween costume (plus a black turtleneck and black cable-knit tights to keep her warm):

Ryan is going to be a big piece of candy corn. He has a white shirt to wear beneath the costume, but I haven’t been able to find white pants (leggings, sweatpants, ANYTHING) anywhere, so I’ll slap a pair of white tights on him and call it a day.
Dan has a Halloween day at work, of course, but he hasn’t yet looked for a costume. In fact, he asked me last night about going Halloween shopping. Nothing like last minute… thank goodness for local Halloween shops. And if they don’t have anything, halloweenadventure.com should definitely have some halloween costumes that’ll suit Dan’s tastes. Quick shipping ensures that if we were to order a costume online, it would get here in time for next Friday.

As the domain name suggests, my name is Jenn, and I own this blog. I'm 26 years old and married to my one true ♥, Daniel. And while I have two kids (Alyssa is five, and Ryan is three), you won't find "mommy" in my username or email address, nor does my blog revolve around them. I'm a mother, but most importantly I am me, with a passion for love, blogging, reading, and photography. I'm also a busy freelance writer, web designer & SEO goddess.
