Nooooooooooooo

I finished up the second season of The Tudors tonight. The third season doesn’t start until 2009.
Nip/Tuck doesn’t start until 2009.
I burned through all four of the Twilight series books, and the movie doesn’t come out until November 21st. (I know, I know, people either love or loathe Twilight. I’m a lover.)
True Blood only comes on once a week.

I’m currently reading The Host, but I know I’ll be finished with it by the weekend…

What the heck am I going to occupy my limited free time with!?
Kidding. I know I’ll find something.

Right now it’s after 4am, and I am very, very tired. I plan on going to bed in a few minutes, but I did want to blog about a few random things…

Let’s see. Dan is leaving for an out-of-town conference around noon, and he won’t be back until Thursday evening. I know I sound like a complete whiny bitch when I say this, but I don’t sleep well without him. Alyssa will have to make do. We’re going to have a slumber party on Tuesday night and probably again on Wednesday night.

I’m definitely seeing the light at the end of the tunnel in terms of work. I knocked down fourteen 4000 word projects to just three last weekend. I’m now down to just one. Whoo! I’ll clear my plate just in time to get some more dumped on. Oh well… Alyssa’s party is this weekend, our heating bill will start up next month, and Christmas is coming, so BRING ON THE MOOLAH!

I need to email Dan’s aunt. Her sister has an Aspergers child, so we spent quite a while talking about Ryan being autistic. She knows first hand what it’s like to have an unsupportive husband (Daniel is still hairline-deep in denial), one that is there physically but not emotionally, one that completely denies there being a problem and refusing to accept the diagnosis, one that sees every eventual milestone as proof that there is nothing wrong. It took her husband YEARS to accept that their child was Aspergers. Hearing that made me want to cry, right then and there at the Halloween party. I can’t imagine having to deal with a total wall in terms of emotional support for YEARS. This last year has been difficult enough. But I didn’t cry. I kept my shit together and instead asked for her email address. She told me what it was, but I forgot to write it down, and now I’m only remembering the first part of it.

Oh, and here’s a nice little face-plant by Simon. He did this voluntarily. I’m thinking of submitting the photo to lolcats… think it’s worth captioning?

I’d caption it, so cute! :)

I know how you feel about your shows! I’m like that with The L Word. The last season ended in January or February and the next one doesn’t start until January. Plus, it’s the last season. :(

  4. My aunt’s best friend has a son with Aspergers. He’s around 10 years old now. You should see him. He was pretty bad with outbursts and bad behavior when he was younger. Now you can’t really tell he’s any different unless you spend a lot of time with him. He’s worked with therapists for years. It’s helped tremendously.

One of my dogs totally sleeps like that ALL the time! I’ll have to try to grab a pic.

I’m sure Dan will come around about Ryan. I think it’s just emotionally harder for men to accept things like this. As women, we’re more open to solving problems, finding answers, then mapping out our best course of action. Men tend to stick their heads in the sand and wish things away…

that cat is just ABNORMAL.. lol. i feel the same way whenever john is not in the same bed with me or when he was gone for a week for some classes. the pup feels the same way, too. hell, hubby had to work 3rd shift to cover for a buddy and it was awful being in that big ass bed all alone. duce, i’m so geared up for the twilight movie. hubby was teasing me last night that they announced they weren’t playing it in GA. oh, i told him i’d go to the next state over if that was true which it isn’t of course. uhhh, i know you’ll find something else to occupy your time until the movie comes out.

I say definitely submit that picture to lolcats. That is the funniest thing. Maybe he thinks he’s an ostrich? lol

I’m kinda anti-Twillight (which is sad as I love all things vampire), but I mostly heard about the books in a young adult, teenie, very bad way. I tried listening to the first book on tape and couldn’t get into it because I was to busy laughing. BUT I saw a trailer for the movie on tv the other day and it looked interesting so there may be hope for me yet. haha

I borrowed The Host from the library and honestly could only get through a chapter or two… I didn’t really like it all that much.

Have you tried reading any of Anne Rice’s vampire chronicles? There’s sort of a lot of verbal diarrhea but they’re good.

  10. Ian’s been working out of town lately, too. He leaves Monday at 5am and doesn’t return home until late Thursday night or early Friday morning. I sleep like absolute crap without him as well. I usually toss and turn for three hours before I finally fall asleep. :( And I still have another month of this to go!

  11. Hey, we all need money so the projects are going to help even if they are tedious and drone worthy (Pssst, army wives. Go watch the 2 seasons ASAP) Your cat is… wow. I’m amused entirely at that picture.
