I have been hearing a lot about the Blackberry Storm. My brother-in-law, who has Verizon Wireless, seems to upgrade his choice of cell phone every few months. I don’t think he’s had his current phone very long, but for the last month he has been drooling over the Storm. He even pre-ordered it! Our friend Jason has also been going on about the Storm, and might be switching wireless service providers (he’s with T-Mobile), just to be able to have it.
I don’t know. It’s a pretty sweet phone (from what I’ve seen of it; the commercials are deliberately vague about what is so awesome about it), but I don’t know if I can commit to an entirely touchscreen phone. I like actual keys to depress, particularly for typing. If my laptop’s keys annoy me when my nails are long, what would a hard plastic screen be like to deal with?
There’s a lot of talk about phones right now. The Verizonwireless Storm, the ATT Blackberry Bold , the Sprint Instinct phone, and today I just saw a commercial for a new Samsung touchscreen phone that is for T-Mobile (Behold? I think that’s what it’s called…)…
Looking over the cheap cell phone deals at ifreecellphones.com, and the available phones, I think the Blackberry Bold would have to be my favorite. It reminds me of my current cellphone, which is the T-Mobile Dash. As neat as touchscreens are, I need something more functional and easier on my fingers — aka a real keyboard!

I want that phone! It looks so sharp!
As a customer care rep for VZW I have to say I wouldn’t get the storm. It really isn’t all that. It is the pearl with a touch screen. Nothing else. I <3 my G1! I just got. I really like t-mobile. But that’s just my choice.
I don’t want a touch screen phone either. I swear I’m going to be so pissed off if technology drives all cell phones to be like that some day. Ugh!
I’m on the list for the Storm already. I’m getting it for my sister.
