I was doing so good there, blogging just about every single day, and here I am, with four days between [non-sponsored] blog entries.
Life is… I don’t know if I’d say good, necessarily, as there are definitely some unpleasant and unhappy aspects to my life right now. Mainly the issues with my mother, her finances, the stupid dog she isn’t bothering to house train properly, and my brothers still being in state custody and Children & Youth continuing with their games and power trips (all of which my mother’s lawyer denies, which makes me think he’s a useless piece of shit).
But Christmas is coming, and that’s exciting. We picked up a few gifts for Alyssa and Ryan at Toys ‘r Us, and I found two gifts for Dan at Target. I finally ordered his new computer desk on Friday night, and we rearranged the living room so that we have an entire corner opened up for the Christmas tree, which we’ll probably buy and put up on the first weekend of December.
Alyssa is dying for Christmas. Thanksgiving isn’t here yet, but she’s itching to put up Christmas lights in her window. She is glued to all of the toy commercials, and then comes and tells me what brand it is, where I can find it and that I should buy it for Christmas. If she had things her way we’d have a house full of toys, including that stupid giant moving and talking triceratops.
Ryan is saying a few more words. Macaroni and cheese is eh eh eh an cheeeeeeee. Hi, bye, he-wo (hello), and I think socks and pants.
I feel so lazy today. Yesterday was also a lazy day. These days that I don’t have work to do turn out to be such lazy, slackerlicious ones!

I ahve no idea where I am going to fit a Christmas tree at this year. I never even though of it when we moved in but where I’d like to have it there is a big heater, which would probably kill it. I won’t opt for an artificial tree either. haha.
Glad Ryan is speaking more!

Oh god. Alyssa sounds just like Mariah! I’m starting to cringe every time a toy commercial comes on TV. Sometimes she hears one from another room and STILL yells out “Mommy, I want that!” even though she has no clue what the toy even is.
And that triceratops? Hate, hate, HATE. That and the giant Fur Real Pony. Ugh!

I actually rearranged and think I have a good spot for the tree. I think at least? I’ve always wanted to do a small tree in Sydney’s room, but I’m still too worried she’ll get up in the middle of the night and turn it on, throw a t-shirt on it and burn the house down.
including that stupid giant moving and talking triceratops.
Sydney too. Admit it, it’s freaking awesome. I’d buy it if it weren’t over $100.00. Hell, I might get it anyway if they put it on sale. It’s really neat. So serious question here. Will you guys get your brothers for Christmas and Thanksgiving? I think it’s very important to get them home for those holidays. In Christmas case I think they need to spend extended time there like the entire weekend. I’m just wondering how DCS is going to screw you guys out of that one?
If a child has a home to go to they should not have to be in an institution, even if it’s school, instead. Plus, if the lawyer is pulling this crap now he doesn’t sound like he’s going to do much. What was it you called him? A worthless piece of crap? Sounds right.
I hope you’ve been well even though you’ve been busy. I’m sorry that you are still dealing with a lot of your mother’s troubles too. That must be very stressful for you and you’re a saint for helping her out so much and so gratefully.
I can’t wait to see pictures from your Christmas. Your kids are so insanely adorable. I bet Alyssa is very excited.

Ugh “I want that” is way overused in my house too. It’s obnoxious. I’ll tell Aralyn to please say “that’s cool”, or “I like that” instead, and she says she will. Five seconds later when another toy commercial comes on… “I want that!”. *sigh*
