Several weeks ago I changed Ryan’s diaper on the trunk of my car. I do that sometimes, if we’re out in the parking lot and I don’t feel like dragging him back into the store and wait for the individuals without families to get the hell out of the family restroom so I can use the changing station. Well, in this particular instance the diaper was a disposable one, so I wrapped it up and put it in the trunk, thinking I’d take it out when I got home and dispose of it.
I forgot about it.
I only remembered it when last week I noticed a really funky, old-gym-socks like smell radiating from the trunk of my car and seeping into the back seat. It wasn’t very strong, but when you’re standing on your head looking for lost sippy cups and discarded socks (have I mentioned that Ryan likes to undress? All. Of. The. Time.!?), it’s something you would definitely take notice of.
Well, I remembered the diaper, fished it out, and then sprayed the hell out of my car with Febreze. By the way, the whole Pet Odor Eliminator line of Febreze rocks. We’ve got it all — candle, plugin, fabric spray, air spray. With kids and cats and dog there’s always a reason to start Febrezing!
I’m so sleepy right now. I didn’t have any work to do yesterday, and I don’t have much to do today (hint hint, clients, I’d love some more work!), so I’m sitting around here twiddling my thumbs. In between re-dressing Ryan, who, as I type this, is busy trying to get out of his long-sleeved onesie.
Um… I did some posting at Lavish last night, and put up a new layout. Reese gave me Photography Girls, and I’m hoping to get it re-opened today. And tonight I plan on working on a winter theme for jenn.nu.

Ew Ew Ew, your poor car. Hopefully the febreeze takes that stench away.
P.S: Doesn’t it just tick you off when the family restroom with the changing station is taken? I noticed that a lot. Then comes out someone with a child. Pfft.

I agree with the Pet line of Febreze. I used it to spray down the couch and chair I got from my dad’s which smelled HORRIBLE because of the dog my brother had…it worked like a charm.
Haha, oh no! That would have been really bad. My Mum spilt milk in her car and Febreze was her best friend, but I can imagine that would be a real nasty one, not a wanted surprise. :uhm:

hehe, ew! i’m glad the febreeze worked!
i remember seeing a car parked outside a cafe we went to, and they had a dirty nappy in a plastic bag hanging from the back windscreen wiper. i guess they didn’t want it to stink out the car, but it still looked really funny…

oh wow! I bet that smell was bad! :dead: I hope it goes away, lol.
Ohmy! Hopefully the febreeze does the trick by getting the stink out of your car! (I have faith it will. I love febreeze, it’s the only think that get’s the stinkbug smell out of my dorm room) :dead:
Can’t wait to see the new layout for Jenn.nu, the one at Lavish is splendid!
