Two days until Thanksgiving, three days until Black Friday… What are everyone’s plans for both days? For Thanksgiving, we’re going to have lunch here with my mother and grandfather. Around 3:30pm, we’ll leave to go to Dan’s aunt and uncle’s house, and have dinner with them, Dan’s sisters, his brothers, and whoever else is going to be there for the holiday.
As far as Black Friday goes, I’m going into hibernation! I admit, some of the sale ads I’ve looked at have offered a few tempting buys, and Dan is done work by 5pm that evening, but I get too much people and road rage on a normal basis to dare test my patience on one of the busiest shopping days of the year!
Instead, I think I might shop online. buy.com has a few tempting things listed right now, including a 1TB external hard drive for $129. I know, I know, I already have an external hard drive, but you wouldn’t believe how fast it’s getting filled up! In the last week alone I have taken almost 4GB worth of photos. And you better believe I have each and every one of those backed up. I also back up music, videos and other downloads. And $129 for a 1TB external Western Digital hard drive? Not bad at all. It may not support networking, but I’ve got plenty of spare USB ports on my desktop, and three on my laptop, so I’m sure I could find a spot for it. 
Umm, thanksgiving is spending time with family and for Black Friday I will probably venture out SOMETIME although I don’t want to. I’m more anxious for Sunday :-p

Dude, 1tb? Drool!
We’re eating Thanksgiving dinner at home… then we’ll probably play a game or do a puzzle. No need to go out into the cold! On “black friday”, I suspect we will SLEEP IN. Seriously… we’ve never been crazy enough to get up and go shopping early in the morning on the day after thanksgiving. The deals are good but we’ll probably just stay home and get things done around the house.

I stay far, far away from civilization from Thanksgiving onward. I refuse to physically shop during the holiday season. I find all the good deals online and do my Christmas shopping there.
