Tylenol during the day, Nyquil at night… that’s the life. Of a sick Jenn, anyway. I can’t believe how awful I feel. I’m not dealing with coughing, sneezing, stuffiness or congestion as much as I am dealing with dizziness, sluggishness, fatigue, general achiness and a wear fuzzy sensation, like I’m disconnected from my body. I feel like my brain is 0.5 seconds behind everything my body does. It’s a sucky feeling, really. Thanks for the Man cold, Dan. Next time keep it to yourself!
So, the weekend was fast and fun. I went out Friday afternoon to pick up stuff for dinner and a mop (I realized at the last possible minute I needed a new mop head, haha), and dropped Alyssa off at my mom’s for the weekend. Came home, fed Ryan, put him down for a nap, then mopped the floor and got dinner in the oven. Danielle and Matt arrived around 6pm, we ate not long after, then vegged for the rest of the evening with our laptops. At 11 I left to pick up Dan from work, we came home and then booked movie tickets for Saturday night. Twilight for Danielle, Matt and I, Quantum of Solace for Dan and Jason.
Saturday. Dan was at work until 5, so it was just the three of us and Ryan. I was feeling pretty crappy, so I stayed home with Ryan while Danielle and Matt went to the Strasburg Railroad and then did some shopping. They came back, gave me Christmas presents (thanks guys!), and then I went and took a nap.
7pm. Dan’s sister arrived to babysit Ryan, so the four of us head out to meet Jason at Olive Garden. Dinner was delicious. I laughed until I cried over the mesquite incident at Dan’s brothers’ apartment, and Matt and I blinded everyone at the table and a few servers with our flashes (oops).
Then it was off to the movies (after a quick stop at Target for the blue salvation known as Tylenol Cold Severe)! Twilight was awesome, of course, and Daniel and Jason liked Quantum of Solace.
Next up… bowling! Glow bowling, at that. I’ve never bowled like that before. It was cool. Amazingly, I got a score of 98. Not too bad, considering I kind of… well… not kind of. I DO suck. But I tried, so at least I get an A for effort. ;)
We finally got home around 2:30am. Dan put Leah out, brought Ryan in bed with us, I took Nyquil, and crashed until 1pm today.
Danielle and Matt left around 1:30pm, and Dan left to take his sister home not long after. He stopped back home to change for work and drop off the mail from my PO box (thank you Allyson for the perfumes!), and since then it has just been Ryan and I.
Amazingly, as awful as I feel, I’ve managed to knock out two 4,000 word writing projects this evening. Go me. I have four submitted and awaiting payment, and only three to go. Hooray!

I’m sorry you feel so sick. I hope you feel better soon!
Sounds like an amazing weekend! I knew that was the Olive Garden just from the picture! That’s like my favorite place to eat. I eat lots and heaps of their unlimited salads! I’m glad you had such a good time bowling too!
Caity´s last blog entry: Brrrrrr!
I thoroughly enjoyed watching the man cold video, although it’s looking a lot how I feel this week. I hope I’m not that whiny! So is Tylenol Cold as nasty tasting as Nyquil? That stuff is horrid.
