Show me a sign

My period is now five days late. To add insult to injury, not long after I got up today (late, I admit, since I was up late the last two nights working my butt off) I felt sick and threw up. A coincidence? God, I hope so. But a late/short/light/not as painful period, two pregnancy tests with very faint positive lines (followed up by a pregnancy test that was negative), and now THIS period is five days late. What would you think? Well, I’m going to wait five more days. At that point my period will be ten days late, and I’m going to go to my family physician and demand both a pregnancy test and an ultrasound, just to check out the scenery and be absolutely certain either way.

On the Dan-fubared-our-car-for-no-good-reason front, the Hyundai is now sporting new tires. It cost me $476, but I got the tires done today, and I also have lifetime balances and rotations. This week I’m going to try and get the car over to Maaco to get a quote on repairing the cosmetic damage on the side. For the hell of it I also emailed our local dealership and requested a quote from them. I sent photos along with the email so they can see exactly what type of damage they’re dealing with.

Whee, just nine days until Christmas! Who’s excited? I know I am! :D We’ve got some very nice gifts for family and friends, and I know there’s a hella nice gift waiting under the Christmas tree for me. ;)

How can you wait? If I were you I would be taking pregnancy tests over and over and over lol. :tonguer: But I’m a tad bit impatient.

  3. I’ve convinced myself that I was pregnant and felt every symptom in the book before, and gotten a positive test (with no pregnancies!), so you could just be making yourself sick! I know a lot of people say you can’t get a false positive, but according to my doctor you can, it’s rare, but you can. Hope you get your “sign” soon!

My goodness. I hope things get sorted out for you soon! Those Nikon lenses are beautiful by the way. I’ve asked for the 70-300 lens for Christmas! Me and my D40 (plain D40) are drooling over your equipment …

One thing you seem to be missing that I would recommend though is a flash! It can really make all the difference with your lighting.

  5. I can’t believe you’re out almost $500 over a car for no good reason. I’d still be livid. At this point you should be able to take a pregnancy test and get the clear sign that you are either pregnant or not pregnant. It’s after your period was supposed to start, 5 days in fact.

Also, I don’t think you need to have an ultrasound to tell if you are pregnant. A simple blood test will tell you yes or no and everything else you need to know just from the numbers. They told me when I was your age that your hormones fluctuate and your period can change with it becoming lighter or heavier.

In any event I don’t think the stress of waiting 5 more days is good for you or the baby to be if there is one. Go get another EPT and test again for your sanity. I know it seems overwhelming, but I think you guys would be GOOD with another one.

FTW your page rank is showing as a 6 right now?

You need to calm down-stress won’t help the awol period.Think about it,you’ve been working late nights -Dan has been playing up-The kids are kids right? They are never easy at anytime of year-My two are hyper at the moment-one word SANTA.
Its most likely down to stress, just step back and relax ,running around convinced that you’re pregnant isnt going to help.I know its asking the impossibile but stop thinking about dates and let it go.It will turn up if thats the case, but yeah you’re right quit for the 5 days then take it further.

I would blame the AWOL period on stress. For me personally, mine comes and goes when ever it feels like it. I blame it on a combination of constant stress and my birth control.
