Only two days to go!

Just two days left until Christmas, and we still need to get one of my brother-in-laws a Christmas present. We’re not seeing the rest of Dan’s family until Saturday, so we can do last minute shopping on Friday, but I really want to try and get the brother-in-law something in time for Christmas. I’m just not sure what. He’s really into owls, but we already got him an owl-themed gadget for his birthday in October. Like the rest of us, he digs electronics, so I could always check out the current sale ad at buy.com and see if anything pops out at me.

Well, I’m not really seeing anything that screams “I’m perfect for your brother-in-law!”, but I do kind of have my eye on the Digital Picture frame by Matsunichi. Not to sound like a snob, but I’m really impressed with a lot of the photos I take. Sure, I can put them around the house using standard prints and photo frames, but sometimes the prints, despite the good photo printer I have, along with good ink and paper, don’t always come out the way I want them to, and having photos that would be crisp and lit because they’re displayed via LCD technology is tempting.

Very, very tempting. It would be so simple to load up an extra memory card with some photos and put them on display!

I almost bought a digital frame for my parents for Christmas, but in the end couldn’t afford it. :( The exchange rate changing (the USD going up) has really hurt my wallet. D:

  2. omg i want one of those! i almost bought one when we bought the laptop (glad I didn’t since i ended up having to buy a new digital camera 3 days latter) i’m hoping my mom & dad will get us one :)
    nichole´s last blog entry: what a weekend..what a week

  3. I want a digi frame for myself. There’s some cool ones out there if you’re girly. I’m looking for something for my mom and a last minute couple of things for Sydney from Santa Clause himself and then I’m done. Not a minute too soon!

My dad bought a digital photo frame at one point, but returned it because the box lied about what kind of memory card it takes (i.e. the cards we had were supposed to fit, but they didn’t). But it was really nice, what with the sample photos and all. But I think it’d be a great idea for you, since you have so many great photos (no shame in tooting your own horn there). :)

I’ve been thinking about a digital frame, too. I want pictures of my nephew in my living room, but I don’t have a photo printer and getting them done in-store can get to be expensive.
