Last night I informed Dan that whenever Blueboy does die (he’ll be nine in the spring), I’m going to have him cremated and I’ll keep his remains in a small urn in our house. Dan said that he didn’t care, so long as I didn’t have him out in the living room. I responded, saying that wouldn’t be an issue, as I’d keep Blueboy in his favorite room — our bedroom (though amazingly, as I type this he is sitting next to me on the arm of the recliner here in the living room). Dan came back with a pretty good quip about keeping the urn on his pillow, since that’s where Blueboy loves to be.
Ahh, cats. So much personality in such pretty, furry packages!

Aww! He’s so fluffy and cute! I love the second picture!

Psh. Dan adores Blueboy. He grumbles, but he pets Blueboy, and puts up with him laying on his pillow, vibrating it with his purrs and leaning over to lick his (Dan’s) hair.
My friend and I were talking about getting a cat when we move to Los Angeles, and I am pretty excited because my mother never allowed me to have one. She isn’t a bitch, she just has an unexplainable phobia of felines…it’s pretty messed up.

That is the most god-awesome mustache I have ever seen on any kitty – EVER! Seriously – impressed, right now!
He is absolutely adorable. Does he shed a lot? And if so, how do you deal with the cat hair being everywhere? Every time I see pictures of your cats, I want to get one.
He just knows how handsome he is doesn’t he? 9 is fairly young for a cat though isn’t it?

Aww what a beautiful boy
My cats are the two-thirds of the loves of my life (the third being my fiance :P) and I’ll be devastated when they pass on. I’ll definitely be getting them cremated as well – there’s no other way to go about it.

We had a calico that I grew up with (she was 1 when I was born) that lived to be 19. Of course, she was in really bad shape by the end. I cried so hard when she passed away
Actually, 9 years old is not so old!! I have known plenty of people that have 13-21 year old cats!!! 13 is normal, 21 is rare but awesome! Good news for you
(Just make sure you research the health for his specific breed… you will want to take him to normal checkups to make sure he doesn’t have cancers or kidney failure.) My sister lost her kitty (a fluffy siamese breed) to kidney failure… she was always having peepee accidents, not eating much, and losing her teeth. She was about 13 years old though.

Aww, he’s a cutie. He looks so soft and fluffy.
