Every little bit I get emails and questions about the themes that I use. As I have told everyone that asks, I make my own themes for jenn.nu. They’re not available for use, but I do try to point people in the direction of other websites that have free and premium WordPress themes.
One thing I came across tonight is WP Remix. It’s not a site that offers themes, it’s *the* theme to have for WordPress. It’s a web 2.0 friendly theme that offers static page templates, built-in plugins that are configured and ready to go, and WYSIWYG page editors to help you visualize your pages as you design them. (For more features, click here.)
While this type of theme isn’t “it” for me, because I prefer to build my themes from scratch and hard code my HTML and CSS, I can certainly see the appeal of such a theme for those individuals and companies that don’t have the time, desire or knowledge to put something together from nothing.
