A quick 180

Not long after blogging last night, I found this color scheme and fell absolutely in love with it:

I actually dropped my work right then and there to throw together the layout that I actually dreamed about coding yesterday morning. Am I a dork or what? Right now I’m forcing myself to finish up the work I dropped last night, and then I’m getting right back to putting together the new layout. Actually, I have it put together. Now it’s just a matter of tweaking colors. I also want to redo a lot of the formatting and displaying of various plugins, and all that is going to take me a lot more time than the initial layout coding did! Regardless, I’m hoping to have it ready tonight. :)

This afternoon Dan and I gave Ryan a hair cut. I have been putting it off for weeks, because he was so horrible for his last hair cut, whenever that was. I think it was in September. Yes, it has been that long. Anyway, how Ryan was today reminded me of how my youngest brother, whose form of autism is a lot like Ryan’s. He was a screaming, screeching mess. We strapped him into his booster seat, and I stood behind him and held his arms down and got him in a semi head-lock while Dan worked on one side of his head at a time. This was after we gave him some chocolate chips and showed him the clippers. We turned them on, demonstrated how they worked on Dan’s head, my head, up and down both our arms… but still, Ryan didn’t want any part of it. So we moved onto Plan B, which was to hold him as still as possible while Dan cut his hair as quickly as possible.

When we were done Ryan was red-eyed, teary, flushed and sweaty, and we weren’t doing much better. So into the tub he went, where he screeched some more while I used the detachable shower head to wash him off, and then rinsed my arms and shook out my shirt.

But, I’d say he looks much better now!

Anyway, back to work so that I can then get back to the new theme!

Can’t wait to see your new layout! Ryan looks older with his new hair cut, and much more than Dan as well!

Gawds,he growing up Jenn! He’s losing that ‘baby’ look -you know the chubby cheeks ! and they start to grow like a weed!
Will takes our boys over to the grandparents on Saturdays-last week ,all three came back with a haircut. Not pleased was I! DS2 had baby curls and duck tails which were adorable. He got them chopped off, I was (stll am) devastated.

Love the colour scheme, and I agree with the people above that Ryan looks so much older in the second photo. Kind of looks like he has something exciting to tell you.

    Just my 2 cents…
Don’t sweat the small things :)
A layout is fun to make, and you should see it a such, fun.
Blogging should be your way to relieve some pressure, vent, enjoy. If you start seeing it as a job it becomes just that. Simple.
Have fun with it, have fun with new layouts and pictures…this is your playground…just HAVE FUN :)

Blogging should be your way to relieve pressure, not to increase.
A layout, new pictures, new topics and even new posts should be considered fun. If you start looking at it as a job, that’s exactly what it becomes, a job. And who needs that?
If you want to work on a new layout do it, if you want it, when you want it and how you want it. The blog should work for you, not the other way around…
This is your playground…just have fun with it :)

  10. A gorgeous colour scheme — and very fitting for the season.

Adorable hair-cut, and an especially great job considering the circumstances! ;)

Also, an adorable haircut, and an especially great job considering that it couldn’t have been easy! ;)

So cannot wait to see the new look! Colors look interesting. Ri did pretty much the same thing first time we cut her hair. Haven’t really tried since. Heh. But she’s a girl, so long hair is okay. LOL. :)

  13. Ryan looks a lo more like Dan with his hair short!
