I probably spent a combined ten hours working on jenn.nu’s new look. And I’d say that at least half of that time went to updated and tweaking plugins, as well as fiddling around with the workings of WordPress itself. I definitely made WP my bitch, especially after tonight.
You know, back in the day I could have knocked all of this out in a day. But with kids, family, work, running around, etc., it took me a few hours here and there over the span of several days. Tonight was crunch time — as soon as the kids were in bed and the kitchen was cleaned up, I hit the laptop, and didn’t stop until about ten minutes ago.
Anyway, I hope you guys really like the new look. The layout itself is simple enough, but I think it’s the little details that really make it special. ♥
Right now I need to get my butt in bed. It’s Monday, which means that it’s one of Ryan’s therapy days. Goodnight!
P.S. I hate this warm front. It’s February; it should NOT be sixty degrees outside. That’s just insane. Give me hot or give me cold, but don’t give me this whacky unseasonable stuff. I hate it!

And the weather here has been absolutely ridiculous. It’s going back and forth every other day, and EVERYBODY is sick.
I know the feeling all too well. I like the new layout alot though :)! I’ve been working on the new domain for about 5 days now, layout is done, but it took me 2 days to import all my old entries. Now it’s on to tweaking all the plugins to perfection and rewriting my pages. I almost miss the days when I could finish it all in one day, but I kind of like having it stretched out like this.

I have always loved that color green to the left. It’s a well done and wonderful change from the usual centered blog/sidebar design that appears on so many sites. Nice work.
At work I would have a day to code a site and another day or two to hack up and implement scripts and such.. yeah, trying doing that with a family and kids to care for! I’m so sad it’s taken me a few weeks to slowly code my site. Last night was a perfect opportunity for me to finish up but I was too depressed and couldn’t concentrate. BOOHOO! I has felled off the train!!!
