If there’s one thing I’m not used to doing, it’s putting aside work so that I have time to play. For the past two years, I have been very committed to family, work and me, in that order. Since caring for Alyssa and Ryan and being a domestic/wifey goddess takes up the bulk of my time, the rest goes for work, which doesn’t leave much for play. But jenn.nu really needed a good makeover (c’mon, I was using the same recycled coding and plugins for the past year and a half!), so I don’t regret not doing a single bit of work over the weekend.
Though now it’s hard to get back into the groove. I want to knock out a few thousand words before Dan gets home at 5:30pm and the evening race for dinner/cleaning/bath & bed for the kids begins, but, GAH, there’s just so many more fun things I want to do with jenn.nu!
Oh well. I’m sure I’ll fit in a few things here and there. Chances are, I will get the first project done, or at least halfway done, and then I’ll be up late tonight, writing, coding and watching judge shows and ignoring the commercials for best weight loss pills that air in between.
By the way, thank you guys SO much for all of the comments! I really worked hard on everything, and yes, it’s ultimately for me, but it’s still nice to be complimented. I’m glad you’re all enjoying the theme and various improvements I’ve made.
P.S. In case I haven’t gushed enough, the T-Mobile G1 is a seriously kick-ass phone. It feels so good to hold and use, the performance is amazing, and the available applications (all free!) rock my socks.

I really like the new theme. The last one wasn’t bad, but I think this one is way better. I had a layout like this a long time ago, but without my site name on it. I’ve been thinking about doing another one similar to this, but I haven’t decided yet.

I think this design is fantastic, it’s clean, simple and the colors are to die for. I’d love to see the bare bones code of it but I’ll be nice and won’t peak

That’s good that your committed and of course mothers need their breaks whenever they arise if they do.. haha. I really like the site! It looks great. Definitely puts mine to shame… =p I haven’t coded in awhile! I want to check out some of the cool new plug ins. Got any suggestions?
I know what you mean, I’ve been trying to redesign my portfolio page now for months. all I can come up with is the same look as the last .. so until then freebie themes work wonders lol.

A lil late to be saying this, but the new layout is KICK. ASS. I love the color scheme! It’s not so very common, and you’d think it’d clash, but it doesn’t. It’s just kick ass!
I feel a lil ashamed what with everyone having these super-duper capable cellphones, and my cell basically can send and receive calls and text messages. And… that’s about it. It has a sucky camera, but it truly sucks ass, so I don’t use it much… and here you are, with your cellphone that could be considered a mini computer. Jealousy rearing its ugly head here! o_o

The new site is so gorgeous! I love the layout and the style, everything! The details are what really makes it! I am so glad that you took the time to do this for you because this site is all you, about you, and it’s good to remember to take the time to feed your soul and your little indulgences too.
