Not to brag, but we’re going to have a sweet amount of money on Friday. Of course, we’re being good, responsible adults and will be spending at least 90% of it on bills, savings and the repair of my washer, and the rest will probably go for groceries, dinner out and maybe a game for Dan.
But let me tell you, if we didn’t have to do the Boring, Responsible Thing, I’d be all over the sale at buy.com. I could use a new camera bag (the standard Nikon bag just isn’t cutting it with a camera, huge ass external lens, one attached lens, three additional lenses and a handful of filters and lens cleaning cloths), I’d like a backpack for my laptop, and…

Drool. I know, I know. I have an iPod. But… but… the 32GB Apple iPod Touch is just so damn sexy! My T-Mobile G1 has gotten me addicted to touch screens.
But honestly, even if we could go a-splurging with our tax return, I’d have a hard time justifying a $400 mp3 player.
But a girl can dream, right? ;)

I have an iPod touch and I loooooooooove it. So worth the money.
@Kate: Don’t tell me that. Temptation…
Hate to tempt you more but I have a 32GB iPod Touch too and it’s just AMAZING. I mean, I’d happily leave the house without my phone but I’d never leave without that baby. <3
Its difficult being a boring,responsible adult with a family to take care of isn’t it?
But your right -I couldn’t justify spending that kind of money on one item-maybe several yes -but one? no! in saying that my current MP3 player was bought to me by my daddyinlaw and that worked out at around $250 ? Its not a touch screen ,it doesnt do anthing remotely snazzy,but its bright pink and has 16gb storage.I have had it just over a year,and that is a record for me!! Its durable put it like that! lol
I’m all minimalist nowadays. I could settle for a 16GB nano.
I can’t justify that price for that iPod either. The 8gb is more than enough space for what I use it for.
But i’m going to be a debbie downer and also suggest that putting some money in a money market account, roth IRA, or some other form of retirement account, high interest savings account, or college fund for the kidlets would be a very good thing to do when any extra money rolls in.
I third the not wanting to tempt you, but I just bought the iPod touch 8 gb a few days ago and I love it. :-)
