Why is it so hot?

It’s currently 82° outside, and tomorrow is supposed to be over 90°. What the flipping hell? It’s APRIL. We normally don’t see temperatures like these until June! Oh well. I’m glad I bugged Dan about putting the AC unit in the living room yesterday afternoon, because come tomorrow, we’re definitely going to need it.

I’m currently burnt out from doing so much work over the past four days, so today isn’t going to be a productive one. I’m going to try to get at least one project out of the way, but I’ll spread the work throughout the day and evening. Besides, it’s too nice to sit inside, so I’m going to take Alyssa and Ryan and go see my thirteen year old brother.

Oh, and I’m back on my desktop. Ew. Well, not ew because it’s a desktop, but ew because it means dealing with a regular keyboard. I enjoy having a full-sized keyboard and a number pad (which my new laptop will have — YAY!), but I don’t like the extra effort I have to put forth in order to type. That makes me sound incredibly lazy, but I’m not talking about blogging or IMing or posting on message boards. I mean all of that AND several thousand words of work. Oh well… I just need to stick it out for a week or so. Or swipe Dan’s laptop and do my work on it while he’s at work. ;)

Speaking of Dan, he’s hilarious when he’s downed a few beers. He starts professing his love for Leah and telling her what a good dog she is, and then he showers her with kisses. Well, last night it was just one kiss, but there were times in the past when he would just rain kisses all over her wrinkly face. It’s hilarious and gross to watch. He also starts talking about wanting to bang me (his words, not mine!) and all the ways he wants to do it… which is quite funny because you know what alcohol can do to men. *snicker*

Anyway. I think I’m done embarrassing Dan. I’m sure he’ll read this at some point today and then come home and want to throttle me. Heh. Plus, I have a bit of work to do before I get the kids ready and herd them out the door.

Have a good weekend everyone!

We put the AC units in the other day. It snowed today. Irony.

I wish Jeremy was more like Dan in the whole talking about banging aspect when drunk. Instead he’s more of the quiet video game type and is just relaxed.

  3. I am loving this weather! I would rather be hot then cold. But that’s just me. :)

  4. It is really nice out! I have been loving this weather the past couple of days! I hope you keep enjoying it and aren’t too hot. I love when people do fun things when they are a bit tipsy. It makes for some great stories and you get to see their real feelings most of the time!

I’m a state over in Ohio and the same has been goin’ down. Yesterday I was laying outside, today I’m closing the windows and reading a book.

I live in Texas, so I wake up sweating every morning. It’s terrible. That’s one bad thing about spring time: the temperature kicks up. Ugh.

  7. We had a hot spell over here too. It was weird.. 70s to 90s-100s for like a week and now it’s 60s. I don’t like it, lol.
