In preparation for last weekend’s nasty little heatwave, I begged Dan to put in the living room AC unit. He did it on Friday afternoon, put our bedroom’s AC in on Friday night, and did the kids’ bedrooms on Sunday afternoon. And here we are, back to temps that are in the 60′s, accompanied by showers and a raw breeze. What the hell? Spring or blazing summer? Which is it? I ran out today in a rather summery type of top and froze my ass off while I was pumping gas. Oh well… I’ll just keep in mind the need for a hoodie over the next few weeks.
I’m still waiting anxiously for my new laptop to arrive. 17.3″ screen, 1680 x 1050 maximum resolution, full number pad…drool. HP estimates that it will ship on Friday, but I’m not-so-secretly hoping that it’ll go out tomorrow morning, which would be two days earlier than the shipping date, which was when Dan’s went out!
Not much is happening lately. Ryan is talking up a storm, though he mostly prefers to bellow out “Mah-yee!” whenever he wants or needs something. Alyssa is a little flouncing queen, but her creativity and wonderful imagination makes up for the dramatic moments.
Pet-wise, Max fits right in, and the other cats have adapted to him nicely. Simon plays with him a lot (I wonder if they can tell that they’re related?), while Kirin and Blueboy keep more to themselves, which is pretty normal. Leah is fine with him, though she gets pretty ferocious when he tries to eat out of her food bowl. Speaking of food, I’ve discovered that Max likes pizza. Note to self: keep the pizza box closed when not supervising it.
All right, I’m heading out for a few hours. I hope everyone has a good evening!

This weather annoys the crap out of me. Mother nature needs to stop being so indecisive!!
Yeah, I am unpleased with this weather too. Hopefully the better weather comes back soon!
The weather lately has been the pits. It has been raining for the past 4 days here in Michigan and I am honestly ready for it to stop.
I love that Max likes pizza.. reminds me of my cat. We discovered his love for pizza as we watched him drag a slice of pizza around our kitchen one evening.
