Wednesday is Alyssa’s last day of preschool. Ryan’s last day was last Friday, though he’ll be participating in a quick little assembly the teachers are doing with the kids, prior to a picnic that will be held outside. I’m interested to see how that goes. In the twenty minutes that’ll pass between when we drop him off to his classroom and when the assembly will start, a lot could happen, especially since Ryan’s therapists don’t work with him again until next week. So, we’ll see how that goes. I’m just hoping that the assembly itself isn’t very long, because I can perfectly envision Ryan squirming all over the place, squealing and then rocking while we’re trying to get him to sit still so we can see Alyssa perform with her class.
I did the whole preschool mom thing and purchased three bags of candy for the kids to do a candy scramble with. And I got GOOD candy. No stupid Dum Dum’s (not to mention, lollipops + running preschools = very bad idea!) or no-name candy. I picked up a bag of Starbursts, a bag of soft Lifesaver gummis, and a bag of mixed Hershey chocolate bars. I also prepared a big bowl of pasta salad for the picnic that’s going to be held for the kids and their parents. I’m not going to take full credit for the pasta salad, however, since all I did was prepare three boxes worth. Heh. But I did throw in a few teaspoons of milk and a few teaspoons of bacon bits! That counts for something, right?
Anyway, I’ve got some writing to get back to. A lot of writing. I’m going to be upfront right here and now and let you guys know that I will be doing as many decent (decent meaning well paying and at least somewhat relevant to me/jenn.nu) opportunities as I can get my hands on between now and May 26th (payouts are a month after the opportunity is done), since we’ve got beach money to get saved up! I do label sponsored posts as such (I use the category “Commercial Break”, and if they’re from SocialSpark they are disclosed with a little button, and the links themselves are nofollow), and you can scroll right past them, but if for some reason you just can’t stand their presence, check out my ad-free alternative: my livejournal.

I so miss the preschool days! All the candy and little assemblies they had. I am hoping that we get to do a kindergarten graduation, but with school out at the end of the month I haven’t heard anything about it yet! We get to go in on Monday and hear Sydney read from her journal to us, talk about being proud, she’s beaming! See what you have to look forward too???
Oh and Yippee for the good candy! I always do that too.
