I’m excited for tomorrow.

Tomorrow I’m going to be taking photos of my sister-in-law for her high school graduation announcements. I’m excited for the opportunity, because even though I’m not getting paid anything for the session, I’ll have the chance to experiment with a very willing subject, in a variety of lighting and outdoor settings. I plan on doing as many shots as she wants, and using some of the better ones for my portfolio. I still want to get a domain name registered and set up that portfolio, except I can’t think of a decent name. I thought about doing my initials+photography.com, but of course it’s taken… by another photographer. :P
I may not be a professional photographer, but I want to showcase what I can do, and if people like what I can do, that’s all that counts :)

With that said, I need to hurry up and shut down my laptop, because it’s time for my and the kidlets to hit the road. We’re going to see my thirteen year old brother and enjoy a Memorial Day cookout with him at his school. :)

  1. That’s awesome! I’ve seen your pictures and you’re really good. You’re especially good at taking photos of your kids, probably because you’ve had a ton of practice with them. :P It’s great to try new things and experiment, but maybe you should try being a child photographer for children’s portraits? You would be terrific at it!

Awesome opportunity! All the photos I’ve seen from you are great! If I wasn’t on the other side of the world, I’d hire you! :P

I like Britney’s idea too btw, for specialising in kids portraits. :)

  3. Oh have a nice time with the photo session tomorrow and I hope you and your family have a great Memorial Day today!
