I didn’t think this would be the case, but I’m kind of getting into the video blogging thing. I already got my first “you’re fat!” comment as a response to the last video I posted, but whateevvvvvvvvvvver. Thanks so much for cluing me in on something I had no idea of. But that comment aside, the response from everyone has been overwhelmingly positive, which is quite cool.
Of course, I need to find a suitable host for the videos that I make. I really like Vimeo, but I’m not going to cough up $60 in order to have a “pro” account and thus have my videos processed instantly, instead of waiting around for hours (literally) for them. Viddler is okay, but sort of meh. I like what BlogTV has to offer, but I don’t want to be live, dammit. I want to record first, ditch and redo if I have to, and then upload and share with you guys. So, does anyone have any suggestions?

I like your video blogs. Why not just use youtube for your vid blogs? It’s free and doesn’t take TOO long to process.
And I love how people act like your fat is something that will kill you. I think it kinda dies on its impact in high school.
I have not really gotten into the video blogging much. I am still stuck on the fact I really need to get a digital camera. Sucks since I use to have one.
I think if someone wants to be a little shit about commenting, then they need to go somewhere dark, and full of creepy sadistic people…lol. Who cares about the stuff…. I have weight I NEED to lose, and I think it is rude. Wonder how old the person who commented about that was…probably still a teen?
I always have to chuckle when people “point out” certain things about another person’s appearance as if that person is completely unaware of what’s going on with their own bodies. I think these people need to concern themselves more with their own intelligence rather than the appearances of others.
I know this is probably a really cheap and nasty type suggestion, but how about YouTube? I’m not sure of the benefits and the disadvantages of YouTube are, but it might be worth looking at… maybe.
gah I have not watched any of your video blogs yet– including this one! haha. I’m always around other people and am too lazy to get my earphones :).
And the fat comment is so lame! I respect you so much for seeing the comment and then brushing it off. And you’ve lost weight and are still continuing to lose weight! Which, by the way, I’m totally envious of. I don’t have as much weight to lose as you, but I do have quite a bit to lose. I just don’t have the motivation! Well, sometimes I do, but not often enough to actually lose over 20 pounds like you did! Maybe if you keep on blogging about losing weight I’ll feel inspired to get off my butt and in the gym ;).
Youtube.com is good, sharenow is good (you’ll have to google that one because I’m not sure if its .com or .net ) Sharenow is FREE from what I understand. Um… not to sure about any other ones but its an idea.
You video blogs really have me wanting to give it a try, but I have a problem with stumbling over my words and talking too fast in front of the camera. Maybe I’ll try it one day. I’d go with YouTube if I decided to do videos. It does take a little while (maybe 30min) to upload a 5 min video, but it’s free!
I can’t believe someone actually made that kind of comment on your blog. People kill me…
Oh and I saw your Tweet about the A/C yesterday, and I asked James about it because he had a 2001 Spectra, and just as he told me about that switch, you Tweeted that you fixed the problem. Sorry I didn’t come to the rescue sooner!

Vimeo is my favorite too. I like your video blogs and you should keep doing them. I can’t believe some people are so rude to you in comments but I guess it takes all sorts to make up the internet.
You talk too fast.
I can pick up the most obscure accents and dialects within the English language without much trouble. But speedtalking through the events of your air conditioning equipment.. eh…
