So I am by no means skinny, but I’m not as fat as I was three months ago. Exactly three months and two days ago I began putting some serious effort into watching what I ate. I also upped the physical activity. Nothing drastic, but enough that between that and portion control and calorie and fat gram counting, I am just two pounds shy of being able to say that I lost 30 lbs.
I don’t really see it, and I would not be surprised if others can’t either, but I can definitely feel it. Last winter my right knee would often ache, even if I hadn’t done much activity for the day. Once I dropped ten pounds, that went away.
And now?
Dan has remarked several times that I feel different, particularly around my hips. One night he even mentioned being able to feel my pelvic bones more easily (TMI, I know, sorry.). I savor those compliments. ♥
I’m wearing my bras tighter (the middle hooks instead of the end ones!). My favorite pair of snug jeans bag around my butt and thighs. My capris are all looser. And I am very close to going down a shirt size at Fashion Bug and Lane Bryant. Just about there, in fact. And with Target clothes? I am there. Four months ago I tried one a size “4″ (that’s the largest plus size available in their young/contemporary line) and it was snug. Today? i am wearing a size 3 and it is a PERFECT FIT!
The 3:
I’m still very overweight, but I’m just about thirty pounds down… here’s to thirty pounds more, and then some!

Great job, Jenn! You’re looking awesome! xx
Wow! You look great… I’m soooooo happy to hear that! Keep it up
Wow! I’m trying so hard to watch what I eat and exercise more, but it’s soooooo hard. I don’t eat a LOT, so portion control isn’t a big deal for me, but WHAT I eat is hard to control. I’m pretty picky [don't really like vegetables at all] and I love pasta. It’s hard to do. My biggest thing is to stop drinking Coke. I love soft drinks, so that’s where my biggest issue is. And exercising.. I tend to sleep late, so it’s too hot to go out in the morning, but I hang with my friends at night, so I tend to just avoid it entirely. But anyways.. major props to you! Congrats! You look great :D
Aw Jenn that’s awesome! Good for you! You’re doing a fabulous job!
Awesome job at being able to lose weight and keep it off! Having been in the hospital for a month and didn’t eat almost two and a half weeks and lost a lot of weight from that. Of course I also had muscle atrophy in both legs and left arm, but its amazing what little exercises you can do to build it back up.
Unfortunately my weight loss is because of being hospitalized, but now that I’m home, I also have a smaller stomach as it takes very little to fill me up. I think this is also what helps because before I felt like a bottomless pit sometimes.
But keep it up! I think my fav part of my weight loss is that my face is skinnier
You look amazing Jenn! well done
one other tip – try not to eat after 6pm ? I’ve lost about 15lbs in the past 2 and a bit months from only doing that- nothing else-I eat normally during the day etc you can drink liquids alright but no food! it does work
keep it up though!
I have to say you’re doing a wonderful job. I can definitely tell a difference, you look gorgeous and I think it’s obvious how good you’re feeling. Keep it up!
Congrats on the weight loss, way to go Jenn!
Good luck losing the next 30.
That’s so great Jenn!
that’s awesome! you can tell in your face, actually – you look terrific!
At the risk of sounding offensive, you can really tell that you’re losing weight. Even 30lbs has made a difference. Your face is slimmer and you’re getting a body shape like mine (where it goes in right under the ribs). You’re doing great Jenn. Now I just need to motivate myself to lose 30lbs!
Congratulations! You’re doing a great job and as long as you have the motivation, you’ll continue to do great!
Congratulations on the weight loss, Jenn. I am very proud of you! And kudos to you for having the motivation.
Congratulations! You’re doing such an awesome job. Here’s the next 30! :D
O hai Magical Shrinking Jenn! Congratulations. :D
Well done hun! It’s those thing like noticing your knee less that is the real reward, just think of all the other health benefits for the next 30!
Congratulations! That’s an amazing loss and I’m so glad to hear that you’re doing it the right and healthy way
Woooohooo!!! Congrats!!
That’s awesome!
Congrats! I know how hard loosing weight can be (struggling with that myself too), but if you put your mind & effort in it. Anything can happen!
oh wow jenn! this is great!
congrat! on the weight loss i can’t never stick to my weigh loss goals, shame but true, keep up the good work you look very pretty..
Congrats on the weight loss! I can notice a difference when I look at some of your self-portraits from earlier this year. It’s an inspiration for me, as I’m needing to lose about 60 pounds myself!!
Hey well done, best part about the whole deal ( compliments and milestones) is that it makes you smile yeah?
You look at yourself in the mirror everyday, so of course you don’t see it! I totally do – congratulations!!
Congratulations!! 30lbs is an amazing accomplishment!
