My mother’s Persian cat, Fritzy, who is Simon’s brother (Max is their half-brother; they have the same father), is staying with us. Temporarily, I think, but I honestly wouldn’t mind if his stay turned into a permanent one! I think he is a gorgeous cat, and he also has a sweeter disposition than Simon. Simon is all about himself and Alyssa; Fritzy loves himself, of course, but he likes Alyssa AND everyone else. When I pet Simon or pick him up, I might as well be showing affection to a rock. That’s how much attention or notice I get in return. An acknowledgment of any type from Simon is rare. He’s all about himself and Alyssa (seriously, he howls outside her bedroom door if it’s closed and he can’t get in to sleep with her). But Fritzy? He arches into it, looks up at me, preens, and purrs. I love his purr.
Besides, who doesn’t want four Persian cats running around? ;)

lol, another pet?
But Fritzy is gorgeous, I love all that poof. Does Alyssa regard Simon as ‘her’ cat then, since he likes her so much?
Aww, what a gorgeous cat. And Simon totally sounds like my Himalayan cat. She’s all about herself too, and she fancies my mom over me.
@Michelle: I am such a softie when it comes to animals, cats in particular! Especially those of the Persian variety. ;) To answer your question, oh yes, Alyssa definitely regards Simon as being hers. She collects him just about every night on her way to bed!
@Britney: Don’t you hate it when “your” pet bonds with someone else? Simon was supposed to be my gorgeous shaded silver, and instead he’s all about Alyssa. Oh well… there’s plenty of cats to go around here!
Cats are very territorial, especially the males, so seeing as they choose one person to stick to – that’s no surprise to me. Milo seems to belong to both, my Dad and I, as he only bonds with us. Rascal, our medium haired, sticks to my Mother like glue.
Ps. Fritzy = gorgeous cat.
It’s blog posts like these that make me wish I wasn’t allergic to cat hair! He’s adorable.
I know all about pets that latch on to particular members of the family. My family’s last dog was everyone’s friend (but he and I had a special bond, he slept on my bed and was pretty much my best friend), but our new dog is attached to my dad and my boyfriend and couldn’t give two hoots about me, my mum or my sister. I’m guessing he just likes penis
Your house must be a zoo with 4 cats and a dog plus 2 kids. Damn lady! I have my hands full with Colby Jack here.
Aaw, he’s gorgeous!
*has an allergic fit* I would mind four Persians. XD Their fur is the worst kind for me! <_<'
But as long as you people are happy in your zoo, that's all that matters. Do tell me again why your mother keeps adopting animals if they end up being "permanently loaned" by you in the end?
Fritzy is a very gorgeous cat, though. If I didn't snizzlefit with Persians, I'd definitely want a gorgeous piece of cat like him.
Aw he is so cute!!!
that is a scary looking cat.
Wow you have so many pets now hehe. I hope that the new kitty likes it there. :D
I’d have to come roll around with the cats and make baby talk to them, then die in an allergic fit. It’s sad, I freaking love cats and they love me. My allergies on the other hand….
I envy you and all your pets I’d be the same way Jenn!
aw he is so gorgeous
I still dont know who is who. All I know that Blue boy loves my head LOL
Scary + cute
our cats are very apathetic toward us. The girly does NOT like to be picked up- if you sit or lay down she will get on you (she really likes to be in crotches for some reason :/) but she doesn’t want affection on your terms.
The boy wants short-term pettage. He will let you know, accept a bit, then go.
They are pretty indifferent as to who pets them. They treat everyone with equal disdain.
I’d like a snuggly lovey animal!
