I think I would rather shop for a birthday present for an acquaintance or perhaps a complete stranger than have to come up with yet another idea for my husband, mother or my brothers. Seriously, when you buy the same people gifts for all of the appropriate occasions throughout the year, there comes a point when you will simply run out of ideas! And when it comes to Dan, I have definitely run out of ideas. I can always fall back on games, but I tire of getting him video games. I’ve certainly bought him enough — at least five or six in the past year!
That’s when I start racking my brain, trying to think of potential gifts that will do the trick. Watches are always a nice choice. Alyssa picked out a watch for Dan for his 26th birthday (that was the one before this last one, bwahaha), and I got him one for our very first Christmas together (2000), so I think it would be okay to get him one now. Maybe for Christmas, or even Valentine’s Day?
