You have got to be kidding me. Really? Now?

I’m dizzy. Light-headed. Feverish. Achy. And my throat is absolutely KILLING me. As if the pain weren’t bad enough, I have a huge lump that I can barely swallow or talk around. Who the hell gets sick in September? And not just a bit sneezy/sniffly sick, but outright hello fever and body aches and chills sick?

In any case, this blog entry is boldly going nowhere. I’m feeling slightly out-of-my-body, if that makes any sense. I just popped some cold meds (daytime, non-drowsy, since Dan sucked down all of the Nyquil last spring and I never got around to replacing it. Guess what’s first on my shopping list the next time I’m out?), and I think I’m going to bed. I have a lot of work to do (of course! Thank you piss poor timing!), but I’m anything but productive right now.

Oh, and to add to the fun, Dan is going to an amusement park with one of his brothers and both of his sisters tomorrow. Alyssa is at my mom’s for the weekend (one last hurrah before it’s back to preschool next week), but I still have Ryan. I’m probably going to hole the two of us up in the bedroom with movies, wooden puzzles, crayons and paper, and a few toys and books tomorrow, and hopefully he’ll be willing to comply!

Gooooooooooooooodnight!

I JUST got over a two month illness ranging from the flu to a cold. Good luck!

  2. I usually always get sick around this time of year. This year was no different. Of course it didn’t help that it went from 100 degrees to 65 degrees almost overnight. Insane!

I hope you feel better soon.

I was sick a couple of times last winter and both times I knocked out my cold in two and a half days.

I always ended up having to work when I was sick, so what I did was this. I would drink an Energy drink when I got to work, pop a couple of benadryl and drink juice the rest of the day. I drank the energy drink so that the benadryl didn’t knock me out.

  5. Me too, I’m always sick on Labor Day. It was Halloween when I was a kid, it’s like it moved up a month. That’s fine with me though, I loves me some Halloween. I went through a whole bottle of Nyquil this time and I don’t feel any better. I feel as if there are 14 cats sitting on my chest and a dog or two in my nose. Allergies Rock.

Eww! Sounds like EXACTLY what I had over the freakin’ holiday weekend. I ended up missing work with a 100 degree fever. My ear still haven’t popped back. You have my sympathies!
