Maple Leaf Market

For those of you that live in Canada, who has heard of the Maple Leaf Market? The website looks pretty interesting, and even though I don’t live in Canada, I may come back to it for recipes and such.

So, what does Maple Leaf Market have to offer? Well, you can meet the butcher, the baker and the pasta maker. Look up recipes, find guides and ideas for easy-to-make meals, and even look up coupons to use in your loal grocery stores.

Also, be sure to check out the kitchen makeover that Maple Leaf Market is offering. Right now you can enter to win a $32,000 Dream Kitchen makeover, or one of 12 Frigidaire fridges!

It’s a shame I don’t live in Canada, because if I did, I would totally enter! Just the other night Dan and I were talking about what we would like to do with our kitchen. We’re happy with the appliances, but I’m dying for a new countertop. I also want new cabinets. The current ones are painted white, and white is just so blah… especially since the walls are an off-white. Due to finances we’ll probably have to hold off on new counters and cabinets for at least a few years, but we do have the money to paint, replace the current two kitchen lights with one large hanging style light, and add track lights over the kitchen sink.

So for those of you that are lucky enough to live in Canada? Go and enter Maple Leaf Market’s $32,000 kitchen makeover contest! Even if you don’t win the grand prize, you could be lucky enough to win a new fridge!

Oh Wow! The company that failed to properly sterilize their equipment, resultng in a mass recall across Canada on virtually all their products is offering to re-do one “lucky” family’s kitchen! That’s fantastic. I can only imagine their prize structure: 5 lucky runner-up families will receive nausea, fever, and muscle aches. One lucky family will go on to receive the grande prize – death of the primary breadwinner.

Maple Leaf sells shitty processed meats. Even when they’re not poisoning people with bacteria, they’re still doing it with preservatives and other shit. Maple Leaf will not be entering my kitchen in any way, shape, or form – not even for a free kitchen make over.

  2. You are pretty creative right? Why don’t you think of something different to spruce up the kitchen? If it is wood it will probably easier to do it. You can even make a family project out of it. And if the kabinets and such are made of different material, there are a ton of other options to make the kitchen look different and nice.

This way it won’t cost A LOT of money in buying the new stuff, but the kitchen will look all brand new and you can save up for a BIG redo of everything.

  3. Haha @Lisa’s comment. I was going to post something similar.

I would never, ever, ever say anything positive about maple leaf. new kitchen on not. Yuck.
