Who in your life seems especially resilient?
Would it be snobby of me to nominate myself? Seriously, I’m one of the most resilient people I know. I take whatever is thrown at me and run with it. One thing I take pride in is the fact that I make the most of what I’ve got. I don’t dwell, I don’t bitch and moan and never change anything. I bounce back, because there’s no point in sitting around and wallowing in crap. Life moves on, and so do I.
What characteristics would a person need to develop in order to become resilient?
Perseverance. Patience. A thick skin. And a whole ton of determination to make things work out, even if it initially seems like they won’t.
In what areas of your life do you think you’ve been resilient?
A lot. Seriously. Family, finances, health, relationships, you name it.
It is often said among educators that a strong indicator of resiliency in children is the presence of a “charismatic adult.” In your own childhood, who was the charismatic adult who inspired you to grow positively?
My mother and my grandmother, honestly. I looked up to them so much and learned so much from both of them.
Can one be tough and resilient at the same time, or are they opposite traits?
Absolutely. A mix of both is best, in my opinion.

As the domain name suggests, my name is Jenn, and I own this blog. I'm 26 years old and married to my one true ♥, Daniel. And while I have two kids (Alyssa is five, and Ryan is three), you won't find "mommy" in my username or email address, nor does my blog revolve around them. I'm a mother, but most importantly I am me, with a passion for love, blogging, reading, and photography. I'm also a busy freelance writer, web designer & SEO goddess, and a blogger relations person for an adult toy company.
