Sleep is never overrated

I just read on CNN that Purell and other hand sanitizer companies are getting their asses kicked in terms of production demands. Everyone is so hyped up over the swine flu, I suppose. I worry too, especially when idiot parents send their droplet-spraying kids to school. FYI, teach your toddlers and preschoolers to cough and sneeze into their hands (and then wash them) or into their sleeve. It’s not that difficult. Alyssa caught on right away! Anyway, I keep bottles of sanitizer in both cars and in my purse, but I don’t think I OD on them. I use them when I can’t wash my hands, after handling money (ATM, drive-thru, etc.) and with the kids before we eat somewhere or after leaving the playground.

So… it’s Friday Saturday! 12:30am, and I can’t stop yawning. I’m talking to Dez on MSN, but I think I’m going to be cutting the conversation short, because I really want to crawl into bed and go to sleep. I stayed up way too late last night, so late that it took every ounce of my willpower to drag myself out of bed this morning.

Today (Saturday) is Dan’s aunt’s bonfire! We’re so stupidly excited, even though it’s going to suck because it’s outside and the forecast, as it always is on whatever night the bonfire is on, is calling for a 90% chance of rain. *sigh* I’m wearing layers and bringing a hoodie!

Before the bonfire I have cupcakes to bake in preparation for Monday, when Alyssa will be celebrating her birthday with her preschool class. I also need to run out to the grocery store (the conservatively-redneck one that isn’t open on Sundays) to pick up Alyssa’s birthday cake and the food we’ll need for the party. At some point I’m going to try and churn out a few articles for Demand Studios, though if I don’t it’s no big deal. I knocked out ten of them in the past fourteen hours, compensating in advance for how busy this weekend is going to be.

I have been having so much fun with glitter lately. Glitter shadow, glitter liner (Sephora is seriously my new favorite store), glitter nail polish. Here are my recent must-wears:

I hearts them. (by Jenn ?) DSC_8886 (by Jenn ?)

What are your favorite color/styles of shadows and liners to wear?

I’ve also been having fun with my camera again. Check out the wide angle (28mm) goodness that is Leah:

I know, I know. Pugs are ugly, and hideously so when they’re viewed from that type of angle and proximity. But I stand by the theory that they’re so ugly they’re cute! ;)

Bulldogs are ugly :P. Leah is just cute.

I hate it when parents send their sick kids to daycare. While we have a policy about it, they have to be running a fever over 101F and throwing up, I still don’t think it’s right. Everyone’s been sick for the past two months because of this.

I also carry sanitizer around with me, but I need to actually start using it.

You know I taught Sascha to sneeze into his elbow at an early age. I can’t remember where I’d read it, but after reading about it, it made sense to me. He touches all sorts of stuff with his hands running the risk of getting goo all over everything/everyone he touches, but if he sneezes into his elbow he doesn’t have to worry about getting it on other people quite so much. Kids have a tendency to hold hands more than they do holding elbows. But that’s what we do with him.

Also have fun at the bonfire. :D I’d be excited too regardless of the weather! And I envy your sparklies. :O Gorgeous eye shadow/liners! I just recently got my coastal scents palette and omg I love it. I got the shimmer one. It’s amazing. I can’t get enough of it. And actually just ordered some eyeliner from Bare Escentuals on Sephora. :D I’ve heard good things about it and read some good reviews. So hopefully I like it. :)

Haha I LOVE pugs. I don’t think they’re ugly at all!
I’m so glad things are going well for you. I’ve wanted to check out Demand Studios but I don’t really have much of a resume and I guess that’s kind of intimidating.

It is so true that pugs are so ugly that they are cute! Especially when they’re still tiny *g*

Oh swine flu. I know we’re being careful at work, and there is hand sanitiser all over the place, but it’s really just about good hygiene. Some people use hand sanitiser every single time they walk through my area at reception, and while I think using it occasionally is fine it’s a bit of overkill. I use it myself but only if I’ve handled things I feel iffy about.

Glittery stuff is so much fun :)

Yah, I dont use the hand sanitizers cause they get rid of the good bacteria on your hands. I just wash my hands all thru the day.

I completely agree that Pugs are so ugly that they’re freaking ADORABLE. My dog, Jack, is a Boston Terrier/Beagle mix and he has the similar pop-out eyes of indicative of the Pugs and Boston Terriers and I LOVE IT. He doesn’t have the scrunchy nose but he used to when he was a baby.

Hand sanitizer makes me nauseous due to the resemblance in smell of alcohol. So I don’t use it but I do wash my hands more than I should. Cupcakes are fun! I recently baked some neat halloween ones. Glitter is fun! I used to wear make up for trendy purposes and because I was good at it. I prefer MAC but am not limited to cheap brands. OoOo cute dogggy!! I want one now. Anyways, I love the website always have. Your a great web developer! I can definitely see your effort as well as your personality in the layout.

I dont understand why ADULTS dont sneeze/cough into their hands/sleeves! It baffles me and it doesnt even occur to them that they could be spreading germs! I know, I MUST be making this up! Pfffttt! Goodness.

I have really bad OCD and I’ve been trying to cut down on the hand sanitizer use, it ended up damaging my hands but my sister in law ALWAYS uses it, sometimes just because so its hard to pass on it when she’s offering it to me! Ugh.

My fiance thinks pugs are ugly but they’ve been my dream dog since I was a kid. I love their wrinkles! I dont care what anyone says, pugs are completely utterly adorable!

Yeah people should really learn when to send their kids to school and when not to. I’m the same way with sanitizer. Not overboard, but I use it when i feel it’s necessary.

I used to think pugs were the most hideous dogs ever. But I am starting to love their big beady eyes. hehe. Leah is cute :)

I adore glitter! – in any shape or form (meaning: on clothing, make-up etc.) I always wear a dark brown eyeliner (black seems to be too strong of a color for me), and for eyeshadows – I have used every color of the rainbow. Usually I wear neutral browns, but on a night out I might put on some purple or green to give my green eyes some love. Have you watched make-up tutorials on YouTube (Panacea81 has a pug too, which is always snoring on the background of her make-up tutorial videos)? They’ve inspired me to try out bold colors such as yellow/orange.

I love public relations!
