I have sometimes thought about checking out a spa, particularly on those days where it’s just one thing after another, and the kids are driving me absolutely nuts. Alyssa is in this stage where she is either tattling about something Ryan did, or whining and/or squealing like a stuck pig; and Ryan is either bellowing, screaming, slamming doors, putting his sister in a choke hold (one of his favorite things to do once he found out that it’s a way of getting our attention very quickly), or a combination of all of the above. On the days Dan works day shifts, it sucks major ass, because from first thing in the morning until 7ish at night it’s just me and them, and it isn’t long before I’m wishing for acupuncturist Chicago or some type of spa that is in another state besides the one I reside in. Calgon take me away!
If you do live in the Chicago area, there are several spas you can check out, including the Tiffani Kim Institute. The Institute has a variety of services, including facials, waxing, nail services, body treatments and general massages. There are also special spa services for men and teens.
