I hope you feel better soon! My partner and I both had the h1n1 (piggy flu!) about three months ago. The doctor initially told me I didn't have it because my symptoms didn't match up, but tested me just in case. But they are pretty much the same thing, just different strains. It's only a problem if you're vulnerable, in which case either flu is not good news. For me, I just had bad fever, aches, and a horrible cough. Once I got confirmed for h1n1 I decided I didn't want to drag my sorry self back to the doctor to pay $50 for some tamiflu so I just took a week off and tried to rest as much as I could. It's a real pain but you just have to take the time to let yourself get better. I ended up taking about two weeks to recover because I had no energy even after the flu symptoms had gone away.

Oh, another thing the doctor told me is that flu (piggy and otherwise) only spreads by 'droplets', so only by people being gross by coughing or sneezing in the air, and not washing their hands. I went to work one of the days before I knew it was the flu and neither of my office mates caught it.

This whole swine flu thing makes me mad. So many conflicting stories. Like, they are testing for it or is there a test for it? And some lady at Daisy Scouts who let her little mucus spraying, gross, very unclean anyway, child come to scouts and school sick said her doctor told her that if you get it then you will get it again in the winter time (jan/feb) because it's going to mutate. So then she sends her kid to spray on everyone.

I've heard more of what Linds said about not getting it again, but who knows?

Sorry to hear that. When my kids got checked for the flu, I asked if they're checking for the Swine flu. The doctor told me there is no test for the Swine flu. She said if anyone's coming back as having the flu, It's more likely the Swine flu.
Which now, all of my kids have had. AND, if you get a full course of it, you won't get it again.

Hope you feel better soon.
